i have seen matt cooper run down bowen, slater, hayne and inglis at one time or another.
considering his age, likefor-like he may have been the fastest player in the comp at some stage.
Darren Albert, i think, is the fastest the NRL has ever seen

hodges passed folau to catch the morris bro from the dragons earlier in the year after morris had a head start. not saying hodges is the quickest but to catch those morris boys you have to have some wheels

Uate from Newcastle has the fastest timed 100m in the NRL
off the mark say over 20-40 metres i'd say Benji or Preston..sure there's faster people but if you see all the tries these two set up it's cause they just gas everyone over the short distance.
Rabbitohs --> Merrit Broncos --> Hodges Bulldogs --> Goodwin/Morris Titans --> Gordon or Mead in a dead heat Dragons --> Soward Roosters --> Perrett Raiders --> Phil Graham Storm --> probs Slater but then again Inglis has some gas ala Inglis v Gidley origin 2 Newcastle --> Uate Manly --> Stewart North Queensland --> Bowen Warriors --> Kevin Locke (rookie winger) Parramatta --> Hayne Cronulla --> Stapleton Wests --> Benji or Lawrence

Hodges caught Jennings and tackled him over the sideline. Sure it was only over 30 metres, but Hodges had to turn around and chase to catch him

Jennings is fastest for mine but there is a number of really quick guys at the moment. Learoyd-Lahrs or Watmough would have to be the fastest forwards and Karmichael Hunt would have to be one of the SLOWEST backs running around.

Weight divided by 100m sprint time would be an interesting one. Higher scores the better. Reckon Dave Taylor would win that one.
