Heard on Sports Tonight that Tom Boonen had been readmitted to the Tour De France at the 11th hour and he will replace Allan Davis on the Quickstep Team. Will find a link to the story soon.

Here is the link. Thoughts, opinions. At least this will make the tour more interesting in terms of sprint finishes but just shows the sport can't stand up for drug takers, including in Boonen's case recreational drugs.

I refuse to lose support of the credibility of professional cycling, but bloody hell they're doing everything they can to make it happen.

As much as I will enjoy watching Boonen race, its rough as on Davis.

I'm in the same boat, love watching Boonen (he will provide more competition to Cavendish) but at what cost. Your trying to enhance a drug free sport yet re admit someone who has taken drugs not performance enhancing but drugs none the less.

I thought drugs were drugs, regardless if they were taken for recreation or performance enhancing purposes! Not fair to Allan Davis who was there with the team being presented to the minions before the start.

At what cost has this decision been made? Remains to be seen now if there is any further revelations now the race has begun.

Positive result for non-competition testing should mean a suspension imho...
