Mine is Leonardo DiCaprio, absolute star. Should have win an Oscar by now, surely.
In my favorite movie The Departed, plus Catch Me If You Can, The Basketball Diaries, The Beach, Blood Diamond, Gangs of New York and Titanic.

I know he's a comedian, but it's got to be Dane Cook.
He was so good in Good Luck Chuck and Employee of the Month
Other favourites would have to be: Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, Simon Pegg and Jason Statham

Fav Actor = Clint Fav Actress = Uma
For comedy reasons: Best Actor in the world = Eric Roberts (stir mates with Continuous calls of his Greatness) When he was in the killers film clip i used it as proof.

Ed Norton, Al Pacino, Gabriel Byrne, Jamie Foxx, Brad Pitt.... I'm sure there are others that I can't think of off the top of my head.
As for actresses, that is much tougher for me... I could tell you a lot of actresses that I really *don't* like including Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Kiera Knightley, Pouty Miss Beckinsale and Uma "I can't actually act at all" Thurman.
Leelee Sobieski is pretty good, Jodie Foster has got to be one of the best... Linda Hamilton was awesome in the first two terminators.... Sigourney Weaver, there are probably a fair few others.

actress dont have many that i like but probably angelina jolie For Denzel Washington - I disagree. Although I think he's a good actor. Denzel comes through a lot in his characters. He's not like a Christian Bale or Jamie Foxx who lose themselves in the character. Normally I'd call it being type cast but his characters are simialr in all these roles because of him as an actor. Just an observation, you don't have to agree with me. Fallen, Training Day, Hurricane, The Siege, Inside Man, Courage Under Fire, Deja Vu, American Gangster. I'm sure there are more but to me, his characters in this movie are all quite similar. Now don't get me wrong... some of these are amazing movies and the man himself is a great actor but I can't and won't call him anything close to the best until he has played some different roles and played them well, the likes of Brad Pitt playing Mickey in Snatch, his role in Ocean's Eleven and in roles like he was in 12 Monkeys and Fight Club. Ed Norton in Fight Club, American History X, The Score. Norton's diversity as an actor really shows through as he plays these as quite different characters. As for Jolie - I almost feel sorry for her. She has been in some terrible movies (like Tomb Raider, Bone Collector, Mr and Mrs Smith) and she is better than that. Personally, I don't like her... but that's just down to preference and I can admit that she is a good actress, up there with the best.

As an actor? As a comedian, maybe... but I don't think I've ever rated him as an actor.

Without a doubt Denzel Washington. The man can carry a movie all by himself if he had to...He is worth the price of admission alone.I don't agree with people who say that Denzel should try and play outside his character,it is not a definition of great acting if you ask me.He has played out of character in some roles if you must know.
*He basically his whole self image when he played the part of Malcolm X.In the movie he sounded and acted exactly like the real man, which is nothing like how he speaks in real life. *He again changed his voice and accent to play Steve Biko in Cry Freedom, a role that earned him first oscar nomination. He incorporated the South African accent and sounds nothing like he usually does. *He played a Jamaican in the movie Mighty Quinn,a role where he had a very convincing Jamaican accent. He also played an Englishman in the movie For Queen and Country and had a very good London accent.
His usual preferred technique is quite simple, but he's pretty much shown he can do mostly everything over the course of a 30 year acting career. He can act on stage, do Shakespeare, romantic comedy, foreign accents, villains, heroes, anti-heroes, drama, action, change his voice, play non-dominant characters, play mentally ill characters or physically disabled characters ect.
I think i remember reading in an interview once where the interviewer asked Edward Norton if he would give an academy award to any actor every year who it'd be...Norton said Denzel Washington.
