abit out of context there mate, NRL just copying the superbowl, doesnt work with the NRL, medals would mean so much more.

why? you can wear a ring everyday - how many people walk around with a medal around their necks?

On a slightly different note, I think people who play a certain percentage of games should get a GF ring, rather than just who plays on the day. Anyone agree, or is it just me?

You need to get out and about a bit Paul if that's the funniest thing you've ever seen.

The ring has been a massive hit with the players. As someone else said, you can wear a ring every day. You'd look like a dick wearing your medal as bling.

It's always cold and bitter in England. The funniest thing they have ever seen is a soggy biscuit falling into a cup of tea.

Having your name in the record books as playing in the Premiership Squad is good recognition.

But having made it onto the ground to play, against the odds of injury, bad form or just plain bad luck, I think deserves the RECOGNITION OF THE RING.

And as our proud Manly supporter mmmdl says if one wishes one could wear that ring every day for the rest of his life, whereas wearing a Medal around would seem pretty...........pretty........uuummmmmmm.......strange .....for want of a better word.

That's being a bit harsh on the friendly boys community.
