There is none, it's a joke, comps like the NFL, MLB and the NBA are so much better known than rugby league on a global scale. surely Gallop is trying to expand overseas and raise awareness of the sport, the least the NRL can do is promote the big name players of our game and show people around the world what league is made of. living in australia, i think all 3 big comps in the US have done well in raising awareness in the australian community, there's stars like brett favre and reggie bush in the NFL, alex rodriguez (makes 28 million a year from his contract alone) from MLB, kobe bryant and lebron james from the NBA, these guys are superstars and make a shitload of money, i don't see why David "Fuckface" Gallopp does not try to expand the sport of league. it'll boost our weakening economy, provide players with a reason to stay in australia and raise awareness of one of the best games in the world.

I reckon I could almost guarantee you - have a photo of the 5 you have named, walk down a mall in any capital city in Australia, ask a random 100 people, and most would get only 1 or 2.

Add to the fact that Basketball is played in many countries, as is baseball. Gridiron not so much, and the fact that a lot of people love anything American and that is why they are so popular.
