Today I noticed another horse running around with the same colours of last weeks winner Our Joan Of Arc(Clarry Conners),Is this a new Syndication Company or what. They seem to be going all right with winner last week and a good second with a Lonhro Colt today with Gerald Ryan they must be doing alright.

I had a look at there Web Site very Impressive,Alot of Information was there too been Seen and Read.
Not bad they have 3 runners to date with a winner (Listed Winner) and 2nd placegetter and with the other one 2 4th's.
I might have to look at getting into racehorse ownership and they look like to me they are young and know what they are doing.
I will be watching nt the coming weeks to see if any more are going to race.

There is a horse trialling on tuesday at Rosehill named GLADIATOR. All going well he will be racing this Saturday. He is a real speed machine! Also if EIGHT THORNS pulls up well he will be racing Saturday week..........the same day as JOANIE though not in Vic. FLAMING will be trialling on Tuesday as well. Big few weeks ahead!!

GLADIATOR to race this Saturday at Randwick. Looks a very tough race for a debutant but he is doing quite well. If HORIZONS lines up then she will obviously be very hard to beat. Will be surprised if SHEEZNODOUBT lines up as have heard that she is heading south to race in JOANIE's race, but we will find out later today.

Another Darby horse trialled on Tuesday.......FLAMING. He also went well and may even be back racing as early as next week. I'm sure many of you have seen this horse at his best and some of his wins have been outstanding and very exciting! He won't be rushed however as Scott and Renee Darby always put the horses first, ALWAYS.

Keep it up Darby Racing

SHEEZNODOUBT has not accepted for this Saturday so I can assume that the mail I received is accurate and she will head south to race against JOANIE. Bring it on!!

Gladiator Impresses at yesterday's trials!
Scott Darby
Wednesday, 15 October 2008

Impeccably bred Gladiator (Hussonet / Flying Single) trialled impressively yesterday at Rosehill. Finishing a long neck 2nd to the $800,000 'Wanted' (Fastnet Rock / Fragmentation), Gladiator jumped well, showed good speed and held his position up the straight.

Gladiator is now on target to make his 2YO debut this Saturday at Randwick in a very tough 1000m race which see's him clash with some of the Gimcrack and Breeder's Plate place getters.

Gladiator was a $160,ooo purchase.

I watched the trial on TVN (Tuesday Night) and he did trial really good.He wasn't pushed to the line and only went hands and heals, while the winner was shaken up a bit to win.I will be watching the markets and if the money goes on I will definetly have some of my hard earn on.

It was an ordinary run. Missed the start and never got into it. Post-race report from Gerald Ryan is he has pulled up quite shin sore and will obviously head to the paddock. My tip would be not to write this horse off......2yo colt 1st start, he'll come good after a break. Gerald went on to mention that EIGHT THORNS has thrived since his last start and is taking his trackwork seriously. Promising for next saturday.

Cheers

Darby Racing Syndications Boasts 100% Runners to Earners!
Scott Darby
Monday, 20 October 2008

Darby Racing is enjoying an amazing run with its racehorse partnerships so far this year! Kicking off less than 12 months ago, Darby Racing has 12 horses under management that were syndicated in the last 10 months. Currently Darby Racing has 8 2YO's, 2 3YO's and 2 older horses under their care.
Five of the 12 have now raced with all 5 picking up prize money with some outstanding results. Here are a list of those 5 that have raced-

2YO's
- Our Joan of Arc - 1 Start Listed Gimcrack winner $60,000 prize money
- Eight Thorns - 1 start 2nd at Rosehill $13,300 prize money
- Gladiator - 1 start 5th at Randwick $1,750 prize money

3YO's
- Elastane - 5 starts 3x4th, 4 of 5 starts in city grade $2,960 prize money

Older
- Irish Myth - 1 start for Darby Racing for a 3rd $1000 prize money

It has been an amazing start for Darby Racing with more of the twelve horse's to commence their racing careers very shortly.

Darby Racing has limited shares in its final 2 syndications for 2008, a stunning filly by Encosta De Lago and a cracking colt by Beautiful Crown, the full brother to Group 3 and Listed winner Flaming.

I have shares in both Joanie and eight thorns, it's been a great ride so far for first time horse owner, fingers crossed for the weekend we might bag a double although not happy with Eight Thorns getting 57kg, he might want a little futher although he did run the 7th fastest final 200m last weekend of all horses on the day so that was good. Our Joan Of Arc seemed to have an easy time at Moonee Valley yesterday morning but did look bright. Darby Racing are on Fire

Both horses will be very competitive this coming Saturday.
With Our Joan Of Arc drawing Barrier (1) 53.5kg over the 1000m at Moonee Valley at 12.05pm
and Eight Thorns drawing Barrier (5) 57kg over the 1100m at Rosehill at 12.20pm.

Our Joan Of Arc with luck in running I think will be very hard to beat with the Inform Jockey of the moment D.Oliver.
Eight Thorns with a run under his belt 2 weeks ago will improve and be very competitive.Hardest to beat will be Engulf.
