I was a huge fan of both between '96 to '00, but would say WWF was my no.1 brand

i use to watch WWF a lot but at the time the only wrestling i would get would be superstars on foxsports 1 which went for 1 hour. Raw was on SKY so only could watch it down the pub. where as WCW was on TCM which was 3 hours of nitro plus some of the old WWF favourites going there i enjoyed it. now these days its WWE and TNA.

its a very hard choice, wwf was only marginally better but it was good having two great companies going head to head,

I was a ECW fan back in those days.
They were well ahead of their time.
Not like this new ECW rubbish that they serve today.

I'm quite opposite haha. Stone Cold was a decent wrestler WCW wrestler that was under-used at WCW and couldn't progress because of all the old WWF talent that wouldn't make way and give Austin a run. It was Hulk and others that were clutching to their 'spot' that ruined WCW. Hogan stunk up the place with matches vs Warrior and Roddy Piper. NWO got out of control and ruined what could have been for WCW. WCW had great talent in Big Poppa Pump and Buff Bagwell and Sting but once the younger talent knew there was no room for them to grow they simply jumped ship to WWF once WWF started making stars out of Steve Austin (who was WCW reject) The Rock, Mankind, HHH, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, Hardys Boyz, Edge and Christian etc. It was once Giant (Big Show) knew what was going on and jumped ship that other WCW wrestlers knew it was possible when Giant got a push immediately with Austin and then Undertaker. Anyone remember how Chris Jericho left WCW? LMAO. I found most of WCW before and during the Monday night war as zzzzzzzzzz with the older wrestlers putting on such tired matches (not including Bret Hart, Big Poppa Pump and Buff) and how many times did NWO interfere in a match? You knew it was gonna happen almost everytime. Highlights from WCW was Goldberg's run and Diamond Dallas Page actual wrestling in his matches. Chris Jericho did his best work while at WCW but was again he was talent that didn't get a decent run that he got in WWF. But then again I knew Jericho from his days at ECW. Back in the day I would rank WWF, ECW and then WCW. Here's a list of the great talent that made a name at ECW before being moved onto WCW or WWF. Chris Jericho Eddie Guerrero Kid Kash Mikey Whipwreck Perry Saturn Raven Rey Mysterio Jr Rob Van Dam Jerry Lynn D-Von Dudley Buh Buh Ray Dudley Al Snow The Blue Meanie Chris Benoit Dean Malenko Shane Douglas Stevie Richards Super Crazy Tajiri Psicosis Konnan Juventud Guerrera Tazz The Sandman Mike Awesome Lance Storm Theres probably a few more that I missed. You could also probably throw in Steve Austin, Mick Foley, and the Steiner Brothers if you really want to. ECW was where it was at during the mid 90's. Infact ECW is responsible for bring the mexican style wrestling to America which gave us Rey Mysterio and co. There was some great wrestling during these years and well ahead of their time. It was exciting, it was new and fresh. The style was fast and the moves were innovated. No more of those 5 minutes holds where they rested doing nothing, it was all about pushing it further than before. The result was some spectacular wrestling matches but some stinkers from trying to hard. I remember the first time I saw a Dudley Death Drop through a table and thought this is AMAZING!!! It brought a much needed change to the industry which launched WWF's change to its 'Attitude' era. This was a smart move as WCW couldn't do this with their ageing talent roster. Well they could of, if the Hulkster and co would give it up their spot to these young guys.
