Has anyone noticed that Nathan Buckley is making a number of statements about Collingwood recently?
He has stated we should not trade Didak.
He has stated we should not get Cousins.
I also recall him making comments about Rhyce Shaw, too.
Is he trying to influence the playing list so its ready for him when he takes over as coach in 2010? I wonder.......

No I think he's just genuinely trying to provide insight and interest. He has some authority since he knows the club.
He has publicly stated that he wanst to do a second year in the media, then get an assisant coaching role at a club other than Collingwood before moving to a senior coaching position. That would set the timeframe at Collingwood at 2011 or later.
If he was seriously thinking about the senior job at Collingwood, he wouldn't write anything potentially about current or future players or staff at Collingwood or it could leave him with a potential conflict of interest down the track. He's smarter than that!

(or so my wife tells me) My litte bro got it on Tuesday, also had his pic taken with Bucks. You should see the $hit eating grin he's wearing in the pic! Haven't heard if the book's any good or not, not that my little bro would be the most impartial of judges

My missus bought it for me (I wouldn't have paid for it myself) and it's not a bad read, although I've only got through the first 3 or 4 chapters.

We don't buy anything. We shoplift! And colouring-in sounds too much like hard work - we pinch them when they're already coloured in!
