According to ch 10, Carlton will entice him into the PSD with a massive price tag so that the other clubs pass him up. This could work without detriment to us:

We all know Greg Swann has said we have $650k to play with for a big fish.
Heavily frontload O'Keefes contract for a 3 year deal.
Backload Warnocks if we get him.
By the time Murphy, Gibbs and any other young guns come out of contract, R.O.K will be out of contract too and at 30-31 years of age.
By this time Rok will not command such a high salary in his twighlight years. Or he retires (forcedly)

That could work Very Happy

well teams don't understand how to trade, the idea is to improve your team not sit back and do nothing, the draft picks are all the goldcoasts next year teams like melbourne, fremantle,Adelaide and Sydney will rule that they didn't try to get more picks this year

well sadly we'll see him in the red in black next year if he goes in the psd, because Melb cant afford him, and Essendon are the next vic team.

If Essendon sadly pick him then why pick him? Carlton is the next Vic team in line and they will happily pick him.

With the Retirements of Michael, Rama, J.Johnson and Delistings of Dean D-ick, Danny Chartres, Andrew Lee and Peverill. they should have alot of caproom

Who would they be spending all their money on?

Lloyd, Lucas, Fletcher and Hille are the only real big fish there

Oh well they need to do a deal on Warnock then cause you cant use the same pick twice, times running out.
Thats if Fremantle dont pick him back up with pick 3.

I know why Cousins is looking at joining the Saints it's because when he asked Ross Lyon "what's in it for me" "ross srugged his shoulders and said "we've got a Gram"

You'd surely back end O'Keeffe's contract as he will be on the veteran's list in the final year of the deal meaning that he can get paid the highest amount in the final year and only half gets put on the TPP

He would not qualify for the veterans list.

How come?

He'd be over 30?

I dont really now the ins and outs, but I thought you could have 2 or 3 players over 30 on the veterans list?

Yeah no doubt that would be the case. But still have to be a little careful because if you have one or two players on the veterans list 50% of their wage is still counted in the cap.

Yeah but then (using rough numbers as an example) if he is on 2.4 mil over 3 years then its averaged out to 800 a year ...

Judd would be on a straight mil a year ... so Make Fev's contract 400 a year for 2 years and 2 mil for the 3rd ... half not included in the Cap ... Judds income in the years before and after are significantly higher yet in Fevs 3rd year Judd is only on 350K ...

So many ways to wrought the cap
