Well done Adelaide on their champions league campaign - so far. however listening to the game and seeing Adelaide in the a-league has drawn me to a conclusion.
Adeliade United are the Liverpool of the a-league
great in the champions-league and sh1t in the league. Liverpool have contested several finals for the european crowns in the last 18 years since the divison 1 became the EPL yet have never won the title! (yes i know they have 18 titles but what have they meant for lately???)
Now Adelaide have 1 foot in the final and have never won the a-league! the best they have come is being smashed 6-0. This season has been shaky as well losing twice and are 3rd. They've also drawn games they should have won.
Both the reds and the reds have great squads. they dominate the big stage but can't domesticlly.

i see ur point, but give it a few years for any real trends to appear. if adelaide perform well in the acl - maybe win it at least once - consistently over the next 5 years, but dont win the a-league, then you may as well call them liverpool.

There not both *****e in the league. They both tease their supporters with high placings but choose not to win. Liverpool are always 3rd or 4th (unless Everton do their thing), and Adelaide won the premiership in the first year, made the GF the next year...2007/08 erm...

What about the locals? Scousers renown for their wit. Adelaide is full of half wits.

How are Adelaide ***** in the league..? We've either finished first or made the GF or done well every year of the A-League. yes, we haven't won yet but give it time, u cant win every year.
