http://sportal.com.au/Basketball-news-display/tigers-are-nba-quality-58209" Perth Wildcats coach Conner Henry has likened the Melbourne Tigers line-up to that of an NBA team but that won't stop him having his side ready for battle in Melbourne on Wednesday night.
"There won't be any motivation problems for this game because they are the No.1 team and reigning champions. Arguably, they have an NBA-like line-up by adding Ebi Ere and Sam MacKinnon to the fold and they are definitely an intimidating side," Henry said." Arguably. Damn right arguably I think the Tigers would struggle against D-League teams, never mind NBA sides. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was misquoted or misinterpreted. Just wondering if anyone agrees with Henry.

It would actually be a good experiment... Get the Tigers to do some pre-season warm ups against D-League or Euro teams...

I remember when the Bullets went and played China during the offseason, including Yao and Yi, and beat them. Though that was the Bullets of '06 when they were dominating. Apparently it was real embarrasing for the China team, and a mate of mine who was travelling with the Bullets at the time said game 2 & 3 was the most rigged game he's ever seen!

I thought this was a gee up by a tigers fan on here. I can't believe someone would seriously say that.

D-League standard is probably same standard or just below NBL.

It's kinda like when Pierce said that he thought he was the best in the world. Ridiculous statement, but at least in this case it was someone else talking up the tigers

Guys you're all reading too much into this, I think what he meant by likened was "The Tigers are very much like an NBA team.. they both play basketball & have 5 players on the court.. but that won't stop us tonight" Frikn media.

I've followed the tigers since 88 and in that time we've had some really good teams current team included but to say they are NBA quality is stretching it a bit actually I would say stretching alot.

All i can say to that coach is that he's kidding himself, the Tigers would be smashed by any NBA Team by 30pts or more.
