A lot of things get said. A lot of things get printed. If a player gives an interview to 3 journalists each will interpret the interview differently, take a different angle and come up with a different story.
Like being on a forum it is hard to convey emphasis and emotion and this can be easily misinterpreted.
From my perspective Fabregas is as loyal a Gunner as we have at the club at the moment. He has passion, he understands the rivalries, he feels the pain.
I read an article somewhere talking about how his family were over for the Hull game. Cesc felt so ashamed and embarrassed at the performance he could hardly look at them. He does feel strongly about the club but he needs others around him to feel the same.
I think Arsene has this instilled in some of the younger players coming through, but there are only a few arsenal 'soul' players. Toure is one, Clichy is close and then there is Cesc.
I say give Cesc the captaincy. If not this year then next for sure. Some would argue that he already has enough on his plate. Fair call, but for me he is basically already doing it on the field anyway. Gallas doesn't cut it, I think that is clear to most Arsenal supporters.
Of course I am worried about keeping Fabregas, but with Wenger at the helm I think he will stay.
It certainly didn't help loosing two of his better mates in Flamini and Hleb. Then big Phil got loaned. Lets just hope that Wenger can hold the current crop together for a few more years.
Hope there is some good football in the international break, and that all the Gunners on duty return fit.
Everton at the Emirates is next. C'mon Arsenal.
Cheers

Fabregas could be a great captain. He seems more mature than other players his age.

But you have to admit, after he left citing silverware he must have had a sinking feeling when Arsenal were a game or two clear at the top for a few months. Now that would have been one for the urban dictionary definition of ironic. Cheers

Yes I can accept that we finished poorly. My point was that Henry would have been a little worried for a few months, now surely even you can admit that! Now I am sure that Henry is enjoying Barca and playing with Eto'o etc but I have also heard that he is missing London a lot, particularly his little girl. Henry will always be a Gunner at heart. Looking forward to Arsenal v Pool, some good banter awaits. Cheers

oh dear my goodness. i didnt mention pool because ui dont have to - when you know he goes for pool, he has liverpool in his name - its pretty obvious who 'he' goes for. he said do you expect to lose UEFA to hull, i said no but i expect to beat you (Hull story has now finished, and it becomes arsenal v pool story). then all of a sudden geovanni makes an appearance - in an arsenal v liverpool 'match'
