As a Manly fan I am happy he got in....
Good ball runner and can sniff a try out from anywhere....though he does like to come up and in, in defence and often gets caught out.....(propbably won't happen against second rate competition)
I'd prefer Robertson but good luck to the kid.

Think Turner played origin. Tate (late in season) & Hayne not playing well And the wolfman Smashing people catching bombs making breaks Growing beard. best winger in comp not counting centres in my unbiased opinion

No-one is jumping up screaming pick me at the moment, and he is travelling as good as anyone. Why not give him a go?

not sure about that. Yeah, you're right, but I think you need to look past the whole top 24 thing. Is he in the top 24 in Aus? NO. Is he in the top handful of wingers in the game? YEAH, probably is. He is definately a position pick.

Any serious NRL first grader will tell you that MOST wingers would never get a run in first grade if there was no salary cap, They are in the teams as cheap signings to keep the salary cap in check and make the odd run from dummy half and then catch and fall over the line at the other end.

yeah exactly good way to put it. I think he deserves his shot. He stood up big time this season. he's taken his opportunity and cemented his spot as a strating winger for Manly! No1 has put there hand up for that winger position this season except himr eally. Good work Willaims

That probably hurts his chances more than anything in retaining his spot.

You reacon? it hink vatuvai is very Valuable player to the Warriors, Robertson was a very valuable player to the Sea Eagles in the GF, tate was to the Broncos, Matty king was amasing for the Storm, same as Folau when he plays wing he's orsum at jumping off kicks, Nightengale was superb in that position for Dragons and how about Colin Best he had a blinder on the wing? Winger can be very important and I dont think thats true at all.

That's why i put MOST wingers. There are a few handy ones. But in all seriousness, Tate was always getting caught out jersey-grabbing, King was NEVER a winger. Only in SOO and that was embarrassing for him. Folau was the only Storm player making breaks on Sunday and that was from centre, not wing. You don't have to be on the wing to catch bombs. Nightingale has done nothing over the past 3 months and Best had a few good games until he remembered his true form against Sharks. Give me Manu, Wendell in his prime, Lote, Stevie Morris and Chicka Ferguson but most others are reserve graders who are helping out the big boys.......David Williams included.

yeah fair call. I think David Williams is more of a potential centre than a winger aswell, same with boyd and Kemp. I eprsonally think Folau is a better winger, just cause he's amasing under the high ball and an exceptional finisher, really good at sttepping inide, the guy could prolyl play an position well though. But yeah it seems the case with alot of wingers and they do usually always come off the wing when they start hitting their prime and become centres/fullback.
