Funny when I posted last saying Lackey had to go he conceded two runs that innings.

Yes they did screw it up again, well another year wasted for the Angels. I now see a Phillies vs. Rays World Series. The Sox haven't impressed me and the Phillies will beat the Dodgers in 7.

Hey Sparky since you only got 1 series correct (phillies) in the first round of the play-off's. Please tip the Red-Sox to win against my RAYS! You could stop a great thing in happening (last to first) in the toughest division and then through to be world camps!!
GO THE RAYS!!

Yeh my predictions we awful, mind you i maintain that the Angels are a better team than the Red Sox and i thought the White Sox after those two wins against the Tigers and Twins would have too much momentum to beat the Rays but i was proven wrong, the Cubs? Well we all know about their collapse.
All i'll say is my Predictions will be coming soon.

I dunno why you tipped against the Rays. Laughing

Angels could have won all 4 games in that series, they just couldn't get their hits like they had been all year long, still ver dissapointed.

Yeh i thought the momentum would carry the White Sox plus they had Playoff experience. Oh well the Sox vs. Rays series should be awesome. As for the Angels, just left to many runners in scoring positions.

IN the RAYS v's Red sox series = Rays will win in 5 (boston goes with there 2 aces in games 1 & 2) rays had the best home record in the majors if they win as predicted they will at least win game3 or 4 (4 most proberly against wakefield) come home and win game 5!

Dodgers v's Philli = Dodgers in 6 (hamels will win game 1 but myers will have to do something special in game 2 to hold of dodgers) game 3 OLD MAN MOYER "GONE" then hopeful they win the next 2 at home!! so win in 5 or 6.

So hopefully Sparky hasn't put a voodoo curse on the Rays and my prodictions are correct!!

Rays (cause there the underdogs and people like them) v's Dodgers (cause of Joe Torree & Manny)

Yeh I'm really looking forward to the Rays vs. Red Sox series, plenty of HATE between the two teams.

Dice-K too good today, Sox lead 1-0. Phillies up 2-0, Lidge is lights out for them, can't believe how many blown saves he did for us back in his Astros days.

What a win for the Rays, 9-8, what an amazing game. Can't wait for the 3 games at Fenway Park, if Tampa take 2 they'll win this series.

and i dont even follow baseball Laughing
had me on the edge of my seat tho for most part
i missed the epic 5th inning tho...why on earth was it 55odd minutes?!?!

sets up this series well tho

edit - what was with the boston pitcher intentionally throwing bad pitches to get the rays batter to walk? i didnt quite understand that bit Laughing
also coulda been a rays pitcher throwing to a boston batter...it was a long time ago Razz

Not sure which person was hitting but it was most likely to be one of the Rays good hitters and therefore they intentionally walk them so they can pitch to the next hitter who is probably not as good as them, usually only done deep into games.

Big win today for the Rays, one more win at Fenway and they're looking the goods, as for the Phillies, they're home and hosed in the World Series.

The Rays at $4 to win the World Series is took juicy to refuse, I'm taking it in a multi with Felipe Massa to win the Drivers World Championship. It's amazing odds.

Man I'm seething, did a multi yesterday and the Rays were $4, but when i got there they had shortened to $2.50 and now they'll be even shorter, if only i got their earlier. Damn.

As for the game today, again the Rays gave the Red Sox a lesson, 13-4, cruised to victory, and Wakefield look out of his depth against the Rays hitters.

Hard to see the Rays not winning the World Series from here, they look unstoppable.

Four quality pitchers, and good hitting gets it done, plus home field advantage and yes they're the team to beat. A Rays vs. Phillies World Series would be a ripper as well as both teams have great hitting and a great rotation.

Just seething that i got on the Rays yesterday afternoon at $2.50 instead of the $4 they were before they won yesterday.
