Yeh the other one got deleted for some particular reason so I'm starting a new one. Comes at a great time as well. Considering there is one day to go and two spots still up for grabs.
It's between the NY Mets and the Milwaukee Beermakers for the NL Wildcard and in the AL Central there is .5 of a game between the Minnesota Twins (87-74) and the Chicago White Sox (86-74)

I'll go out and say the Mets will avenge last seasons meltdown and get the NL Wildcard and I'll also pick the Twins as the White Sox are crumbling. They've lost 5 in a row.

So who have you out there got for the World Series?

Well here's the odds according to TAB Sportsbet -

Chicago Cubs - $4.50
Boston Red Sox - $5.00
LA Angels - $5.00
Tampa Bay Rays - $6.50
Philadelphia Phillies - $9.00
LA Dodgers - $13.00
Milwaukee Beermakers - $15.00
Minnesota Twins - $15.00
New York Mets - $15.00
Chicago White Sox - $17.00

I'm thinking of putting $10 on the Cubs and one of the Red Sox or Angels, but I'm thinking maybe put both as they are the most likely to win it. Yes the Angels have been the best team this season but come the Playoffs or as the call it for the MLB, October, that's where i think the Red Sox have the edge and will rise to the cream leaving the Angels and especially the inexperienced Rays in their wake.

In the NL, i think it will be a lot closer. If the Mets get the Wildcard, they face the Cubs. If the Beermakers get the Wildcard then the Cubs get the Dodgers.

Here's how i think it will pan out for the AL and NL for the First Round -

American League -
LA Angels vs Boston Red Sox
Tampa Bay Devil Rays vs Minnesota Twins

National League -
Chicago Cubs vs New York Mets
Philadelphia Phillies vs LA Dodgers

Here are the permutations if the Mets and Beermakers are tied for their W-L records and same with the Twins and White Sox.

AL Central -

Minnesota at Chicago White Sox

From a rainout on Sept. 13, the White Sox still have a potential makeup game with the Tigers. If the White Sox and Twins are a half-game apart after the completion of Sunday's games, the White Sox would have to play the Tigers on Monday at U.S. Cellular Field. If the outcome of the game places Chicago in a tie with Minnesota, the White Sox and the Twins would play on Tuesday at U.S. Cellular Field to determine the AL Central champion.

NL Wildcard -

Milwaukee at NY Mets

If the Mets and the Brewers are tied after play ends on Sunday, the two teams will meet Monday at Shea Stadium to determine the NL wild-card berth.

Just might add my Houston Astros were dogged in the Wild Card. If it wasn't for Hurricane Ike which tore Houston and Galveston apart, we would have secured the Wild Card. We were on a tare ala the Colorado Rockies last season but Ike ruined our momentum and we ended up losing 5 on the trot which in the end has cost us. Were 3.5 game back of the Mets and Beermakers with one game to go.

Also the Philadelphia Phillied Secured the NL East and it was Brad Lidge who picked up his 41st Save from 41 opportunities. Now i congratulate him on it and all, but where was that sort of form at the Astros buddy?

Brad Lidge - Philadelphia Phillies - Picking up 41st Save from 41 opportunities in win over the Washington Nationals.

What a climax to the final day of the regular season. The Beermakers beat the Cubs 3-1 and the Florida Marlins beat the NY Mets 4-2 so the Beermakers get the Wildcard. In the AL Central the White Sox and Twins both won meaning that the White Sox will plat the Detroit Tigers in a make up game then if they win play the Twins for the last spot. Should be great.

dont think the brewers will do much in the post season....cc cant keep throwing on 3 days rest and with sheets stinking they are history. think the cubs will cruise into the world series, lily is lights out at the moment

i think the angels will get knocked out by the sox (so much for best record in baseball)

not a white sox fan but if they get in i think they can come good

cubs v red sox world series with the cubs winning it

zambrano, harden, lily and dempster is a awesome rotation...marquiss wont even have to throw

Yeh no doubt. For the Red Sox, Josh Beckett is out of Game 1 according to ESPN, but i still think with Dice-K and Jon Lester they'll be right.

The Chicago White Sox defeated the Detroit Tigers 8-2 so now the White Sox and Twins will play a one off game tomorrow. As for the Red Sox vs. Angels series, well this one will be a ripper, Game 1 features Lackey against Jon Lester, and games 2 & 3 the Sox have Dice-K and Beckett, i gotta go the Sox in 5 because as they say good pitching always beats good hitting.

With that theory!!
The rays should beat the twinkies or white sox!!
With there superior domiance through out the season the RAYS shoud be representing the American league (rays have owned the red sox this year)
In the national league i think the cubs should progrees easyly through the dogers and then the phillies!!
Leaving the World series Cubs v's Rays the winner is the
RAYS (best home record in mlb)

I think the LA Angels will win it actually. I've changed my mind, Beckett hasn't been himself this season and Mark Teixeira and Vlad Guerrero are great hitters. I got the Angels beating the Cubs in 6. Rays are good, real good, but experience matters and i think they'll lost to the Angels in the American League Final.

The Chicago White Sox have just beaten the Minnesota Twins in the one game Playoff 1-0 thanks to a Jim Thome Home Run his 541st Career HR and they now face the Tampa Bay Rays.

I don't think you can argue with their form over the season, Angels will win for mine. I see the Red Sox being their biggest challenge, so if they get over them they should be right the rest of the way.

After saying that I just pray Josh Beckett doesn't go insane again this year. You just couldn't beat him last year.
