Take a read of this site: http://mastering-media.blogspot.com/Having compared the two versions myself, I find that it is an absolute disgrace. Major labels are hoodwinking the average punter with their little "loudness war", and it simply needs to stop. Boosting a mix's volume is not going to hide deficiencies (which is their aim), so stop insulting the intelligence of the consumer plzkthx.
