I'm pretty sure they'll keep the regional teams that are currently supporting a team. Much easier to keep them there than start a new one, I'd think. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of the Melbourne teams go, although I think Melbourne can easily support both teams if there's adequate media coverage.

why do they need two teams (cairns and townsville) from holes with 50000 people and noone votes them, but the 36ers someone votes for?

I'd imagine they'd follow the A-League's revamped one team per city ... so that would probably mean South Dragons to be cut?

they will go with 10 teams -new zealand perth adelaide gold coast sydney(1) townsville cairns melbourne (2) and wollongong(if they have the cash) then there is no dramas mmm

I think Cairns would be out before the Crocs. Both are successful off the court and have fanatical supporter bases. Both ideally should be safe.

I would think that regional centres with successful teams are pretty safe. It's harder to get teams going there, you don't want to pull them out if they're going well.

Cairns had the most finical success out of all 13 last season,i cant see anybody getting booted except Spirit...

Hope so. As much as I despise Cairns I hope they stay in because the rivalry up there is awesome. I miss going to those games.
