Our year (06) bought a garden gnome for every graduating student and put our names on them and our signature with like a funny saying or quote and stating why we wouldn't miss the school.
We got the very strongest glue we could find and stuck the gnomes all over the high school/middle school...didn't go into the primary school. We went in early to get it done...it was pretty funny.
There were gnomes stuck to lockers, near the doors of classrooms, anywhere we could access really. Down on the rec court, some guys jumped the fence and made a gnome 6 a side football game in between the goals and everything.

At my mates school the Year 12's bought shi.tloads of bouncy balls then dropped them off the second story. I assume it would've looked pretty good. Also maybe water bombs? And at my school one year, the year 12's snuck a cow into the principals office

classic prank is glad wrapping the toilet seats - i went to a boys school and most kids dont really notice until their ***** bounces back
honey on hand rails is also fun
covering all seats in duct tape was great aswell
we only managed those 4 things - bloody security guards wouldnt let us do much
