Thought i'd start a thread to discuss music in, whether that be new albums, new artists to check out, gig reviews, pretty much anything music.
Interested to see what sort of music everyone is into as well. That "What are you listening to" thread gets a bit boring after a while.
Anyway, to kick things off.....
One new (ish) album worth buying or downloading is The Black Kids - Partie Traumatic
American Indie Rock band. Get on the bandwagon

I use torrents generally I go to a website like www.thepiratebay.org and search for the album i'm after Then open it up and download it in a torrent client such as Bitcomet. What do you use? Also, a website I use to look at and decide what to get is Metacritic. www.metacritic.comRanks albums based on their average magazine review score, and always has fresh new stuff and puts me on to artists I might not otherwise have heard of

I liked bits and pieces of Sawdust. I liked the opening track they did with Lou Reed. As for my favorite Killers song, it would have to be a toss up between Jenny Was a Friend of Mine, Believe Me Natalie, On Top or All These Things That I've Done. In saying that though I really do like Hot Fuss from start to finish its hard picking a favorite

I read NME - it's full of $hit really, but they are great for hearing about new bands. Last fm - convenience and quite good. Cheers mate, I'll give those sites a look at and see how it goes.

Yeh NME is probably my magazine of choice, the only problem I have with them is their tendancy to over hype a new british indie group every single month haha. Mojo is another decent publication. I've gone off Rolling Stone. It seems like all their reviews are biased if you ask me. Its stale and too conservative now
