Garcia is about to take his game to a new level and will be Tiger's main danger in all majors next year, he just needs that 1st major win and I am certain the floodgates will open, Harrington played out of his tree in final 9 holes in PGA to beat him, he has so much ability, watch the Ryder Cup he is always the outstanding player with or without Tiger.

All depends on how Tiger recovers from his knee injury, and how strongly Sergio can bounce back from having his heart ripped out by Harrington... twice (the first was actually by the lip of the hole at the British). Ryder Cup is a bit different though, Garcia, a man who has so much passion, revels in that sort of team environment that these pros don't usually get.

I'm betting that Tiger fully recovers and continues where he left off.

And you'd be pretty close to the mark.

I think he will always find it tough mentally to win majors. He can defiantely win one though.

For all of Sergio's brilliant ball striking, he has one major flaw.....putting!!

Under pressure Sergio has shown us that his putting doesn't cut the mustard, his only chance to win a major is by blowing the field away and winning by 8 or 10 shots (the only person that has done that is Tiger) so that his putting down the stretch is not a factor!!

Ryder Cup is different, you play as a team and the pressure is not entirely on the individual, as you can lose your match but still win overall.

I've been saying this for years and he just keeps letting me down. I would love to see him challenging for the number 1 spot but don't hold your breath.

ON tiger i had a knee reconstruction and recovered fully in 6 months. Thats without my own personal physio and gym.

I've had a reconstruction and several follow up procedures and mine is ****ed, it will depend on how much cartlidge was taken out, once they start to remove that your in trouble, believe me!

You are kidding. Garcia to challenge woods, u are kidding.
He might need to wait until he can challenge Kim before he steps up the 20 levels to challenge tiger.

Yeh he really demonstrated this when he lost 5 and 4 in his last singles game to anthony Kim of all people! One of the most overated players in golf! I watched that game adn teh whole ryder cup and he was just simply outstanding.... SICCCCCCCCCCC CALLLLLLLLLLLLL! Tiger could probably beat Garcia left handed! Like i would actaully back tiger and still be so confindent!

Don't agree losing to Kim "of all people" is bad. Kim has won twice in recent months and is no 10 in world ! Sergio's recent results include winning Players Championship (pretty special - the 5th major), and 2nd places against quality fields in European Open, PGA championship (not bad !) and Barclays. Oh - and 5th in Deutsche Bank. Apart from VJ, who else has that sort of record of late ? Give him a break. I am not suggesting he will be no 1, just highlighting his recent excellent track record.

Kim will be the one challenging Tiger in the next few years, nobody else.

Jason Day and Won Joon Lee are Australia's two next rising stars imo.

Day is half Filipino, Lee sounds like he's of Korean descent. Kim is obviously Asian and Tiger is half Thai. Given that the ladies tour is being dominated by Koreans it looks as though Asia is rising like a rocket thru the ranks of golf!
