I sent an email to the NBL last week regarding the poor coverage, here is the response I received; _________________________________________________________________________________ Hi ** Fox are starting their coverage in October this season due to other commitments to live sport. Obviously we would love to see all NBL games live on Fox, but ultimately it comes down to their scheduling decisions. I suggest you communicate direct with Fox to let them know you would like to see more basketball on TV, as it just might help demonstrate the strong support for basketball in the community. Regards,

Pretty sad really hey.. So this made me think, Foxsports has 'other commitments' to live sport until Round 5 or 6 or whatever it is, here's what the NBL is competing with this week (starting from tomorrow); 36ers vs. Crocodiles 7:00 PM ACT 19-SepBlaze vs. Taipans 7:30 PM AEST 19-Sep Fox sports 1 (WST):3:30 = AFL Semi Final, Collingwood vs St Kilda (rerun) 5:30 = AFL Teams (????) 6:30 = Before the bounce 7:30 = Golf: Ryder Cup 8:00 = Live: A-League QLD vs New-C The Fox Sports times im showing are WST, so it's 2 hours earlier.. That means that both games would've started at 5pm & 5:30pm in WA, here's the competition on Fox Sports 1; AFL Semi Final RERUN, AFL Teams, Before the bounce & Golf: Ryder Cup.. A-League Live would've started After the NBL game, they could've aired either of the games. Fox Sports 2 Has Rugby League Live.. whatever.. fair enuf.Fox Sports 3 Has;4:30 = Rugby Union, South Africa Currie Cup 6:00 = ODI Cricket, Windies vs Aussies. Live? No..Without making this post too much longer - Saturday has a fair amount of other live sports on so that's fair enough, however Sunday has b*gger all & and midweek is the same deal... So Fox's LIVE Commitments are really limited to Saturday nights. Clearly AFL Reruns & talk shows hold more weight than Live NBL Games. I think I'm going to try and get in contact with Fox Sports over the phone, emails are too impersonal.

its very sad. it should be easy for you to get put through the to bball producer or programming director. you'll likely be asked to leave a message on voicemail & hope they call back.

I tried not to highlight that, way too embarassing for the NBL At least our sport has bigger balls.

Yeah I'm with you 3pt_shooter. These one off sudden death games are useless and a waste of time. With a top six, your way is probably the best way to go.

I'm gonna be p i s s e d if they have sudden death games next season! Giving the reward of playing less games to the top 2 teams is ridiculous! I only saw 3 Bullets home games in the playoffs when they won the title, none of which were "clinching" games! Grr

What the hell are they doing wrong? Australia is full of sports nuts and basketball is played by almost every kid growing up.
I want to watch some mother *****king basketball on *****king free to air TV and I want some *****king ads telling me when the *****king game is on.
Someone go out and find a pimp that can make this ***** happen.
Need more Australian sport on free to air.
