Well it breaks up the Buddy is ace and Geelong have already won it threads nicely. Sadly it won't matter about the Blues in 09/10 as the Hawks youngsters will be hitting their primes about then.

Jordan Russell could have easily been pick 99 .
apart from him, the rest are absolute guns. Both Gibbs and Murph will win brownlows.

Oh, and they need another forward or 5 to help Fev kick a score.
Ignorant comment from someone who clearly does not watch Carlton. Carlton;s young backs showed heaps of promise. Thornton, Bower, Jamison, Austin, Waite can all play tall and can all run like midfielders.

Yeh I just tend to ignore them. Waite will eventually become a forward I think and float back when needed (i.e. in front of Buddy). Jamison for FB and Austin will be CHB on the Power forwards. Bower is very mobile so can be used on the HB coz of his speed and play on attitude. Thornton (if he isn't traded) is very handy as he can play tall and small, leaving midfielders such as Carrazzo, Scotland and Simpson rotate back there aswell as the kids in Armfield and Browne. Setanta will be lucky to survive the cull and aparently Sydney is interested in him and Bentick. We need another key forward, a ruckman and an inside, Sam Mitchell like, midfielder (could come via pick 6 in Ziebell) before another backman is recruited (thoug if Hurley is available at pick 6 then grab him coz he's a gun).

We have quite a good up and coming backline, if you knew what you were talking about you would also know that one too. The two players you mentioned aren't even the Key players down there try Jaimson, Thornton & Bower in the last line. the second coment just shows how bright you really are.

carlton and hawthorn will be the two teams in the coming years, no doubt. carltons midfield will be incredible as they grow older, the backline will be a weak link, yet the midfield will be able to cover it, and the forward line also needs to develop, however, if he ball is up there enough the midfield should compensate. of course, this is in a perfect world and things will not go as planned but the midfield strength does go a long way to ensuring overall success.
have a look at the last few powerhouse teams, geelongs midfield has aided their forwards and backs sufficiently, as well as west coasts side which had no power forward watsoeva. should be an interesting few years for carlton

I love irony dont you? It's spelled Jamison, but you'd be forgiven for misspelling his name. I mean who is he when he is somebody?

You're right, it wasnt a mistake. Fev kicked 99 for the season. Next highest was Fisher on 25 Now tell me who's more of a one man team? Mckhenry wrote: Only on no feet, in the no credibility section. Along with Setanta.
I must be mistaken. Carlton have the best backline the world has ever or will ever see.

The rest of the side chipped in with 224 goals this season also, Fevola is the key as he is the most accurate kick in the league outside of 50 given his leg speed he has no problem pushing up that far.
