Just predicting who will be the team to run on against Aussie in the world cup. This is just me picking my team. Excluding Sonny Bill Williams cause he's gonna be an All Black...

1. Brent Webb
2. Jason Nightingale
3. Krisnan Inu
4. Steve Matai/Iosia Soliola
5. Manu Vatuvei
6. Benji Marshall (Hopefully still has his mojo hahaha)
7. Nathan Fein
8. Jeff Lima
9. Isaac Luke
10. Roy Asotasi (c)
11. Simon Mannering
12. Setaimata Sa
13. Dene Halatau

14. Jeremy Smith
15. Ben Matulino
16. Adam Blair
17. David Fa'alogo

This team can bring the physical stuff but for how long?? And can it pressure the Aussies...If ethier 2 of these 3 teams Aus, Nz and Eng aint in the final then Its not worth it aye...Unless miracally Samoa upset the finalist...

Shot!!

How can Jeremy Smith not start ahead of Sa. I swear he is the Storms most damaging forward.

Is Pritchard ruled out of the world cup? Having surgery isn't he? Shame, he is in great form.

SBW has been named but we all know what the story is. It's just a zillion to one shot to cover their bases.

Fien at halfback? No thanks. Otherwise pretty good, except Matulino isn't ready for a World Cup yet.

Kiwi's are just trying to rip the Samoan team off man, both of these players were named in thje Samoan squad, and what really bugs me is that Aussie and NZ have precedence over players and then dripfeed the other countries (samoa/tonga/fiji etc) players they do not consider good enough to make their squad. This just turns the world cup into a 2 nations with warm up games before the big test, stupid and idiotic rules that come for a governing body that have no balls.

In Iosefa's case he was raised in New Zealand and therefor has every right to be a Kiwi...he was a Junior Kiwi, was called up to the Kiwis UK tour and is pretty comfortable there.

But I do see your points. Unfortunately it's also the players - they take the easy option of playing for the Kiwis/Australia as they know they are the strong nations, rather than trying to build up their home nations. That would change with Samoa/Tonga playing more internationals however, especially against Australia/NZ, but there probably isn't the time in the calendar.

Maybe it's parental pressure that they decide to represent N.Z. I know of some cases where Samoan/Tongan born parents want there New Zealand born offspring to represent New Zealand because of greater financial rewards for the whole whanau. Samoan & Tongan representation aint gonna get ya a pay rise in a NRL club.

Yeah i understand all the financial gains and so fourth, but how can 2 different countries name the same players in their squads, and one team having superiority over the other in terms of chosing first. This all comes down to Rugby League's governing body (if it exsists, still seems like a myth to me) not having clear cut eligibility rules. This would never happen in union, just imagine Fiji naming Tequiri on the wing and the Aussies going....SORRY MATE, HE'S PLAYING FOR US??.... kick in the s.c.r.o.t.u.m i say...lol
