Hindmarsh is underrated by the selectors.

There is a difference between being a fearful forward that intimidates other players and just doing mindless stupid stuff. I don't think it is contested that he is hard, but you have to draw the line somewhere. Penalties cost teams matches. However, if you look at him without considering the penalties he gives away, I agree that he can be a match winner. Pity he ruins it all for himself.

There are other aspects of his game other than his tough forward play that annoy me. I would say that the use of the word grub is over-rated in general. I do think a lot of blokes get this tag for playing like a forward should.

Add Kaufusi to that list. He has been brutal in recent weeks.

He was good in 2001 but hopeless at the Eels.

Same at the eels, Smith and taylor did well to the eels. When hagan came, he had the awesome list to guide them close to premership, I mean of course that should happen. Finch, Inu, Clayless, Smith, Mateo, Burt, Hayne. Next year as i expected, he did *****. He relied on joey way to much at the knights and did not look to the future to buy players. And wrecked my knights. And guess what, Smith came with courage to fix up the team and done well. Hagan is just cr ap. I could write a 100pg story on how ***** he is etc.

But Newcastle won the GF that year and no one else did – least of all Parramatta.

BUT.......the coach before gave him everything he needed.......and thankfully he did good enough....a team like in 01 was so good. Joey even admited it was the best team he played in......no joking..........not even australia.

Grub is not a term I would use, but if I were to hand it out to an NRL player it would be Matai – and he's not even a forward.

He is a bit rough, but for me the grubs are the ones that are always playing for penalties. Blokes that fall over from the tinyest push to try and milk penalties. Blokes that take dives or try to win acadamy awards , blokes that point to an arm near the neck and whinge about every tackle instead of just playing the bloody ball. Gallen and Hayne are the biggest grubs in my opinion, because they dive so often they are making the game look more and more like soccer everyday.

Cronk is not overrated. He is a smart player with good vision and a good kicking game. He is also quite fearless and has led the Storm in the absence of its Origin players, almost single handedly beating Parramatta on their own turf. He isn't playing any better than he did, but last year was his breakout year and he was awesome...He isn't quite up to the standard of Thustan, however as proved in the last three encounters, is as good as, and will eventually be better than Orford. I am a Storm supporter and agree that Hoffman is given more credit than he is due. Again, last year he had a blinder, scoring tries with ease. This year he has been a decent 2nd rower without being spectacular. Inglis is at times inconsistent, but when at his best, is unstoppable - he is brilliant and his purple patches are much better than his bad patches. Nice. Thanks

I agree, no one thinks Cronk is in the Joey Johns/Thurston/Prince class, but most people recognise him for what he is - a very solid halfback, who will step up to rep duty if required. Therefore I would say he is rated about right.
