How can you really make a prediction for something 10+ years away.

The way the game looks to be changing I wouldn't make predictions past the next 3-4 years.

I'm not convinced St. Kilda's window is shut, but they would need a bit of luck to get there soon.

Carlton would be pretty dissapointed if they don't win one with their three #1's plus Juddy and Fev.
So I'd go with Carlton for now, but it depends how other teams shape up over the next few years, cos carlton won't be winning it 'til at least 2011.

I am being a little jovial in my predictions! I hope Carlton never win another Flag again!

Laughable Laughing Laughing Laughing . They tank games to get draft picks. The reason why Carlton wont win a flag is because losing has become acceptable

Can't believe you left out our Presidents? You are slipping Pillz!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very Happy

The only reason we will win a flag before the saints is easy, we are a football club where as the saints have always been known as a social club. No real leadership off the ground, just a bunch of glory hunters.

For all the hype over Carlton they haven't set the world on fire this year. They aren't in the 8, haven't been for most of the year and most likely won't make it. Sure they've improved on recent years but that was a certainty given their recent high draft picks.

They have a top midfield which will get better as it matures but Fevola and Stevens only have a couple of years left at their peak. Their backline is hopeless and barely an improvement on recent years. Kreuzer looks good but could still turn out to be another Josh Fraser. Good but not great.

Its easy to improve from the bottom of the ladder to the middle of the table but its the next step that's the hardest. The Blues have reason for optimism but a high finish on the ladder and Premierships are still a long way off.

The Saints are a decent team but not great. Capable of finishing in the finals mix without threatening to win it. They are three or four key players from being a premiership contender.

Either side could win a flag in the next 3 years with good recruiting but realistically they both need to look longer term.

Haha..you do realise they've only one 1 flag!Laughing

Yes, and they will have 20 before anybody else does. Their success in the SANFL will eventually translate to AFL, and when it does there will be plenty of PA flags.
