he is *****kn good. he makes chris paul, who in the nba gets in to the paint with ease, look dead in the water. i still dont know about his defense, but he is a genuine one man offense.
the thing i like about him most, he loves a challenge. while some guys were a bit overwhelmed playing the americans, he absolutely relishes the opportunity.

Guys... one game. If Mills can do it throughout the Olympics, then do it in college - fine, count me in, book me a ticket. But seriously? It's basically a practice match...
That said and done, awesome performance by Australia!

That said and done, awesome performance by Australia! Mills is having a good college year and has shown in a few international games already that he can play on the big stage.. Give the guy a little credit. He'll make the NBA no doubt

Besides the flop at the end, it was an impressive display from Mills. Hopefully he can carry that into the real thing.

This, from the guy who declared Ray Allen to be the 3rd best performer in the NBA finals. We should listen to you because... ?

Academy award winning performance that. He needs to work on his jump shot and defence. Lots of potential though...........

And on the subject of being 'fair'... No where did I not credit Mills performance. Not once did I declare that his performance wasn't good. All I did was state that until he does it throughout the Olympics and become a 'name' in college, then I'm not going into the throes of orgasm (unlike some here...). 'Tis my prerogative.

Yeah malice has a point- but all signs atm point to him being an exceptional talent. As the scouts would say at the moment "he has upside"... He is only 19 too kids so lets give him some space to breathe. I think a solid Olympic campaign will bode well for him and, my gut feeling tells me he'll give one.

Wow, got the claws out this morning malice. We should listen to YOU because... ? Not sure why you'd bring up a comment he made re Ray Allen, but anyway. I agree with winnaz, Mills has been a solid performer so far & has had a fantastic stint in College. Easy selection for the NBA.

yeah ok , over excited but he is a revelation , its like that Spanish guy that is now struggling in the NBA but was a star for spain . I still love the Mills , Newley was a star last night surely he would have impressed the Rockets selectors....

Because I know what I'm talking about? If you don't know why I brought up Ray Allen, then you haven't been reading the forums. Seriously, I read 2 forums with an Oz-slant on NBA ball, and every draft I read verbal ejaculation over such-and-such a player. Aaron Bruce et al. Simple fact of the matter is that we (Australia) get a little overly enthusiastic about our players. It's natural, and it's ok... but reality check. I'll say one name: Sarunas Jasikevicius. And as I said: nowhere have I derided Mills, but for eff's sake... give it a bit of time, hmmm?

yes malice I know, you've got a sports blog. You probably do know more than alot've us, but forcing your opinion over ours doesn't always make it right. In this case, I will rant and rave about Mills, he still has to polish his game but f*ck for a 19yr old he's outstanding. Ahh Sarunas.

Me having a blog has absolutely nothing to do with it. There are thousands upon thousands of blogs out there with very little substance at all. But I do do my homework... and I do know a little bit. And yes, Mills is very, very good - and quite possibly might make a good NBA player one day. But to read (not here) that he's better than Chris Paul? Sheesh... So, you understand what I meant by Sarunas, huh?

All I remember from the Sarunas experience was the hype surrounding him and then him flopping in the NBA, not bein able to make the transition from Euro to NBA. Much the same as that Japanese pr*ck that people were paying $1000 for his signed cards of on eBay hah.
