Clean Sheets are the most important thing in DT (besides goal-scoring), so it's not too bad an idea to get no-frills players from clubs who defend well.

Baines isn't a lock for a starting spot at Everton yet. Keep an eye out.

Nasri and Modric strike me as more assist chances than goal threats. Not so great for sportal, although CS for Arsenal in first few fixtures is a possibility.

Dos Santos will likely be playing out wide and doesn't have a big goal scoring record apart from one hatrick, that is about the only goals he scored for Barca. Keep an eye on his role.

Kuyt will be deployed out wide too if what i read is correct.

Otherwise you have a good base squad.

Oh okay thanks for the tips, I wouldn't be surprised if they put Dos Santos behind bent and berbatov, so i'm thinking the big boys might be able to nod a few in his path. Also I think Modric will become the penalty taker, out of him and Berba i'd say since Keane has gone.

Currently looking for another back, can't afford someone from the big 4 so looking to a team like everton-villa-newcastle who i think will have solid years.

There are 20 players per league.

There is 10 days to go before the season and you can have up to 3 leagues, so it may take me a while to chase up everyone and organise it. I'll keep you posted mate.

Cheers

I wonder whether 'Ice' from last year's dreamteam is competing, he was the pricing guru.

Ice had mastered the formula which determined players' price changes, a very handy piece of knowledge.

Can Given be confirmed as Newcastle's starting keeper? If so, he'd be alright as a bargain back-up.

No offense sibs, but I'm not sure that you are quite up to it...

You are certainly getting better but unless you can demonstrate to me or the forum that you are a top level player then I don't know if there will be enough spots.

Regale me with your tales of supreme Fantasy ability. Razz

Pretty much what I'm looking for are people who understand the pricing structure and can have a strategic imput rather than just who should I pick etc....

So, the invitation is open to anyone if they can convince me of their DT prowess.

We can be in 3 leagues, so at some point I may join another league or set up one that anyone can join.

I don't mean to sound elitist, just hoping to get a Sportal League together to top the League table.

Cheers

Almunia --- Given
Terry Clichy Agger Bale --- King
Gerrard Fabregas Barry Modric --- Duff
Santa Cruz Berbatov --- Fagan

Ballack/Pienaar, as those two are more likely to score goals (imo) than Deco/Arteta.
