Boomers are playing the first Olympics game against Croatia this Sunday at 10 PM AEST, and it should be LIVE on ch 7

Does anyone remember if we lost the friendly game series to Croatia 1-2 or 0-3 last month?

Coach, I wanted to make this thread focusing on Boomers only, how Bogut and co perform in each match
and we can discuss more about other teams and USA on the other thread

yes, it is a must win for us.
I must say Croatia is a favourite to beat us.

I hope Bogut will be 100% fit on Sunday

Croatia are paying 1.50 to beat us
I reckon Boomers at 2.60 is a good value

Thanks!
would be good if you have the starting time as well, especially the Boomers

Updated with the times for each game. Please note: the times on the spreadsheet are for the eastern states - we are 2 hours ahead of Beijing.

Boomers lost 2-1

Game One
Game Two
Game Three

But dont forget, that during those games Australia did not have there best lineup. Andrew Bogut was still unavailable and both Matt Nielsen and David Andersen played limited minutes, nor had Australia olympics roster been decided at this stage. So minutes were shared, and Luke Kendall was still running around Very Happy

Yep pretty much spot on. I dont think the Boomers will totally destroy Croatia but they should post a first up decent win.

Bad news for us, Bogut has not trained since he rolled his ankle when he played against Angola last week.

Goorjian is confident that Bogut will still play on Sunday, but the question is how healthy he is going to be
Go Boomers!

Bogut will play as you said. I heard he was at about 85% fit for the Yanks game but decided to rest him to ensure he is almost at 100% for the Olympics. I think he will be close to that for the Croatia game, and hopefully he doesnt get worse over the touranment. Because if Australia want to be a chance for a medal, we need Bogut playing at his best.
