He has played some good footy, but his late-season injury-run can't help his chances especially getting knocked out earlier today. If he played the full season he would be in, but I think he will just miss out unluckily.

I still reckon he's a chance. He's had an amazing year

I think you're spot on with those guys you've highlighted for AA selection again.

Would have to agree with you except Kane Cornes bolded instead of Campbell Brown.

Last year they had "Choose your AA team" with prizes. I'm confident this year I can come close Was 2 away last year! (The winner got 19/22).

Judd and Fevola are the only two I can see getting a gig from my mob. Waite might sneak in if lucky (should make the squad)

Cooney should make it but crazier things have happened.

I can do a rough AA team of who I am confident will make it.
Will leave out backs for now, backs will be the hardest part as there are no certainties (even though Scarlett, Milburn should get it)

The following players are my locks:

Scarlett, Milburn
Cox, Hille
Ablett, Bartel, Kornes, Judd, Cooney, Harvey, Corey
Franklin, Pavlich, Brown, Richardson

Not sure where Richo plays.
Bradshaw/Medhurst should make it too (1 of em)

Players that could get in for backs:
Mcleod (he better not though, but they love him)
John***** (doubt it now)
Waite (underrated, I don't think so though)
Shaw (again, doubt it now)
Pratt (underated)
Newman (hmmm)
Bowden (hmmm)
S Fisher (will make it)
Goddard (possibility)
Bolton (I'd say will also make it)

I'll do more research when it comes to selecting teams Wink

Judd will make it.
Fevola didn't even make it last year when he won the coleman Sad. If he overtakes Franklin and gets the 100 I think he should though.

and yes Waite has a small chance as well.

I know it's quite easy to overlook some players in these type of threads but if Luke Hodge is not one of the first picked for AA this year then I'll be buggered. That bloke has got everything on the footy field and is crucial to the Hawks chances of a premiereship

Scarlett Rutten Pratt
Hodge Bock Milburn
Richo Bartel Corey
Boomer Brown Franklin
Medhurst Fev Pav
Cox Ablett Mitchell
Hille Black Thompson Fisher

Close: Didak (indiscretion will end chance), Kirk, Cooney, SJ, Boyd, Murph, Aka (lost form only recently), C Bolton, Kornes
Some darkhorses: Motlop, Welsh (Ess), Power, Waite, McVeigh, Watson, Crowley

For some reason i did not enter my team in that comp last year (i had 5 dream team sides!) but i would have won with 20/22 players Crying or Very sad

The only players i missed were Glass and Lade

So who will make the starting back 6 then?
Some outside chances are:
Andrew Mackie
Jason Gram
Josh Gibson
Joel Bowden (unlikely)
Trent Croad
Chris Newman
Brendan Goddard
Dustin Fletcher
Gilbee
Dale Morris

Maybe Corey Enright on the back flank.....

Any other half chances??

josh drummond possible, also patful a real REAL outside chance (meaning highly unlikely)

as have said before, it will depend if they put midfielders on back flansk because they ran out of room elsewhere, or whether they actually pick players who play there

This is my side ... Prolly not even close to the actual side make up

FB: Campbell Brown .... Matthew Scarlett ... Andrew Mackie

HB: Dale Morris .... Nathan Bock ..... Darren Milburn

C: Jimmy Bartel .... Gary Ablett .... Adam Cooney

HF: Lance Franklin .... Jonathan Brown .... Jason Akermanis

FF: Matthew Pavlich .... Brendan Fevola .... Paul Medhurst

Foll: Dean Cox ... Brett Kirk .... Sam Mitchell

Int: David Hille ..... Matthew Richardson .... Scott Thompson .... Sam Fisher

I guess we will see what happens at the end of the season ...

I couldnt put Steve Johnson in there and there were other close ones but I reckon these blokes have been the stand outs all season IMO ...

Corey Enright is stiff, Hodge hasnt played enough games ... St Nick is 4th in the big forwards this season (Counting Richo as a Running type Winger)
