Welcome to the British Open, the third major of the year. The way this tipping comp works is very simple, you can join any week you want to and is you have to tip who you think is going to win and the best australian and also what will be the winning score. The only rule is that you can't pick the same player twice in a row(that goes for both the winner and best australian). Then you get points for where your tip finishes. This is the scoring system:

1st Place- 10 points
2nd Place- 5 points
3rd Place- 3 points
4th Place- 2 points
5th Place- 1 points
Best Aussie- 5 points
Winning Score- 5 points

Remember to get your tip in by thursday night for best aussie and who's going to win and the winning score . Here's the link to the field:

Pick: Rose
Best Aussie: Ogilvy
Winning Score: 274

Wouldn't be surprised to see Westwood win. I also rate Martin Kaymer highly even though it will be his first Open. Will be interesting to see how The Shark goes. Looking forward to the action. Foxtel showing it as usual from around 6 or 7pm. My family won't be happy about that !

Wildcard (person who may surprise everyone): Martin Kaymer. many probably have not heard of him from Germany but a very good player and without tiger may get up and surprise everyone with a win against all the odds.

Didn't see you wrote the same thing Homer. Lets see if it happens. Great swing this bloke but sometimes can't quite handle pressure coming down the stretch

Sorry guys it is off topic, but in reply to thebomb, I agree. MK can be inconsistent but has shown remarkable maturity at times and has a couple of wins in his pocket this year and other high finishes against good fields. Wish I had his swing.

I still haven't seen much of Kaymer play yet but he played a good chip shot at the us open i think is all i've seen, remember because he was on a downslope behind a bunker in think rough and managed to get the ball fairly close to the hole to stop, didn't think he would get it to stop on the green. I know you given him huge wraps, Homer.
