Tha Doctor #46 wrote:Malice and South - How are you guys finding the Farm team experience? I think I'm starting to become disenchanted with the idea, it seems to me that the Farm team i am on really isn't interested in winning per se, but merely are there to increase player points as a means of a backup to the A team (i know thats the whole point of a farm team but i would expect there would be more of an emphasis on at least winning)
It doesn't help that my team captains name has '1994' in it so i feel like I'm being captained by a 14 yr old
How many 2nd players do sportal users have? if there are enough it might be an idea to setup another sportal team malice wrote:Actually... the Dogpound isn't that bad... good players in there, I think it's a bit of a victim of outside politics. Once it settles (hoping it has now), should end up being a pretty good team.
I have 3 players in total. 1 Achilles Jones - The Hypers. Group of NBA bloggers... in College B 2 Abacus Nuss - Infinity. My Fantasy Basketball buds... in College D (we thrashed Melburn Ballers yesterday!) 3 Augustus Nuss - Franchise Dogpound. My Free Agent team... in College D
Next season I could leave Dogpound... or if it fails, earlier. But I'm not really too keen on moving mid-season. Funny looking back. I left Dogpound because we needed a player at the Hypers (lost one due to inactivity)... but only 4 games later, the team collapsed. Totally imploded. But, I'd never enter a farm-team again... So... now where are my players? 1. Abacus Nuss (PG) - Infinity (College B currently 4th). Perhaps my favourite team. Nearly everyone's incredibly committed. We discuss strategy, sliders, skills daily. Scout out opponents, and work our game strategy/line-ups around that. Altho' I captain this side, it's more 'captain-by-committee'... which means everyone's involved. Fantastic. We've won 9 of our last ten games. All bar one 'quality' games (don't you hate it when challenged teams fold?)... 2. Achilles Jones (PF) - Lethal Prodigy (Pro A currently 10th). Another active group - awesome captain - very organised. One helluva challenge for Jones, but I think he's up for it! HUGE win today. 3. Augustus Nuss (SF) - Saints (College A currently 1st - laff!). Team that both tchapman & Camel told me about, and convinced me to get my butt involved. Not that I needed a lot of convincing. Fantastic organisational level from the captain. 4. Harry Peratasticals (C) - WWWC (Playground currently 663rd... and climbing!). Really looking forward to getting this going. Harry's End is up to 25, now just gotta start working the stats more consistently! Lotsa fun. Wow... really run the gamut with where I'm playing!

The team I've joined is now folding, a win/loss of 4/10.
So I'm looking to join a team, 7'1'' centre with 550pts Best Stats: Dunking, Blocking, Defense

My 3 players: Marinating Mongoose: PG on the Rampaging Marmots (Pro D, 7th, ranked 36th, 9-5) My fave team, because it's the first team I played on, and half the team is made up of IRL friends. Nowhere near active enough on the forums for my liking, it tends to be me and South doing most of the talking, but now that we've got Bodsy on there he talks a bit too. Our new guy isn't too bad either. The Platypus Plague: C on the Saints (College A, 1st (not for long ), ranked 898th, 1-0) The Platypus has been through a few teams! First I was on the Ewoks, a playground team who was the first playground team to beat a Pro A team. That was good. Then they folded, so I went to Khum Dhun, where I averaged over 10 rebounds a game in quality stats, only to get booted without notice for a guy with a few more TPs. Now on the Saints, which looks like it'll go places - great teammates, excellent leader. This team is looking good. Ebola-Ravaged Echidna: SF on the WWWC (Playground, ranked 663rd, 5-0) This team, which we all know about, is definitely going places next season, and hopefully can make College playoffs this season. We just need to get our lineup settled and balanced, and get some chems going, and we should be right. Hopefully we'll get a couple of chems tonight, as we've just played 5 games together!

Brilliant. Just need one more PG to replace Pint Ship, then we're looking great. Anyone know any PGs?

My players and affiliations (who i help train etc):
White Shaq - C on Air Time (Pro B, Rank 15): I think we all know the story about Air Time, mostly Sportal members (except for our new recruit), Cinderella team of Season 2
Whowantsto *****Mutombo - PF on WWWC - In essence he is not really my player but i do 90% of his training etc, including his forum postings
World B.Free - SG on Dunkin Donuts (College D - Rank 87) - As above, except more like 100% (i should probably get onto the mods and ask for him to be transferred to my account), he has been around but looks to be settling in on Dunkin, we haven't lost since he joined the team so i must be doing something right, Captain is good, although it is more like a 'captain-by-committee' as malice says, and we just got some veterans into the squad so look out for us

Yeah me and Aussie are on Air Time and Melburn Ballers , both Sportal teams , then im on Rampaging Marmots sort of a Sportal team , now im on Franchise Underdogs Pro B so noew im on three pro sides , the farm team was good but everyone kept leaving and coming and when Malice left i bailed then it collapsed but now im part of the pro side so i spose it kinda worked out ! I love being on Melburn Ballers we come from nothing now we in college A all in 3 weeks , Air Time is my home as i started it and we all are commited like hell , we only made 2 changes in two seasons . Ebi Eri is on the Turtle Tamers as i got him on there . Look out for them guys , Malices team beat them by 2 points today .
