Alright who should the Reds be trying to recruit for next season? I would of kept Lloyd Johansson as the Reds need a big centre, also Nic Berry will be back in a couple of years and will be much inproved.. I think the Reds should look at Ratu Nasiganiyavi and William Bishop.. Are there any other names the Reds should be looking at? Who have they recruited so far? (apart from Rob Simmons and James Hanson)

Po***** has signed with the Force and yes i know he would of been a great pick up... The guy that is the next Lomu is Ratu Nasiganiyavi but then there is the next Lomu in NZ Victor Vito.. The Reds should definately be chasing Ratu and Bishop hard...

Yeah only reason I said Nasiganiyavi was because that article said he moved to QLD and his dad played for Reds. Doubt Reds would get him anyway- can't organise a p iss up in a brewery lol. Shame about Poc ock though... Well yeah in that case I reckon we at least need someone decent to replace Croftie.

The coaching staff at QLD i think is the best in australia so its just a matter of building confidence because they played some really really good footy just lapsed at some times

I hope the reds do better next year than in recent times. Always promising but very frustrating to watch. They need more players from the old school - hard nut no fear tear you to shreds old school - like crofty.
Oh well...

Will they look at recruiting Taniela Hoponoa? Maybe some promising Schoolboys players? Someone like James O'Connor? Maybe a Greg Inglis type? Maybe they could talk to Ratu Nasiganiyavi's dad to be a part of the coachin or somethin which could entice Ratu in to play... Is Sam Satui, Luke Evans, Brett Gillespie or maybe even Elia Tuquiri in contention? Are there any players that the Reds should be looking at? Who is the young Lock that the Reds recruited from the Waratahs only a few weeks ago?

I hear they've picked up the Fainga brothers from Brumbies... Haven't seen much of them but I hear they're pretty good.

(apart from Rob Simmons and James Hanson) Unfortunately despite what Boe (coach of the Breakers) said of Lloyd Johansson being his ideal insight centre, big and strong, it has fallen on death ears. His comparison to great centres of the past All Blacks, Frank Bunce, Walter Little has fallen on death ears. Hopefully Lloyd Johansson will give the Italians some exciting Rugby. Perhaps in time he should also view opportunities in Rugby League where his humble beginning in Victorian Rugby started. Perhaps his biggest mistake was his loyalty to Eddie Jones to remain with the Reds when he was given the opportunity to join the Brumbies in 2006 and play alongside such great names in Rugby like Gregan, Larkham and Mortlock when he had the opportunity. It is all good to look back in hindsight and I am sure had Lloyd had his time again he would have joined the Brumbies who would have given him all the support he needed. Good luck in Italy Lloyd Johansson!!!!! Pity he could not come back to NZ where he would learn and play among better Super 14 teams.

The Reds have also signed Blair Connor.. They say they need a specialist Fullback and i think they should sign a young up and comin player and give him a possible chance there maybe Sam Satui? How would everyone rate Sam Satui? Or maybe even Tajhon Mailata at fullback but someone young?

Sam Satui is not up to that level. He struggled for the "A" team when he got his chance. The boys downhere on the coast say he tries to do too much himself and gets the team in trouble. we need to recruit an 7 and a 5 (tough and knarly types) How's this for a team
1 Greg Holmes 2 James Hanson 3 Dayna Edwards 4 James Horwill 5 New Guy 6 Hugh McMeniman 7 Poutasi Luafutu 8 Leroy Houston 9 Ben Lucas 10 Quade Cooper 11 Peter Hynes 12 Berrick Barnes 13 Morgan Turinui 14 Blair Connor 15 Brando Va'alu 16 Saia Faingia 17 Ben Coutts 18 Van Humpreys 19 Higginbotham 20 Will Genia 21 Ben Tapaui 22 Aiden Toua

They are chasing Tom Mcverry to come back after a one year stint in Japan to replace Croftie. He's pretty handy I guess, would have liked po*****, but the reds have about as much pulling power as a geriatric in front of a porno.

Charlie Fetoai is a good footy player, he also played with the ACES last year. I think he would have trouble displacing Turinui if he continues the form he showed at the end of the season. I think he also may be better suited to 12 but he's not going to take Berrick's spot in the short-term. Also I must apologise for my team earlier as I missed out on Digby. I also hear that Rod Davies is also signed by the REDS, and that could be interesting. I don't know too much about him other than that he represented Aus schools.

Lloyd Johansson just didn’t really step up, great schoolboy player, nice bloke.
Sam Satui is too small,
Tajhon Mailata one of the most talented schoolboy players I have seen, unfornatually he needs to get his act together-----where is he , went to the Force got into trouble there, went to Bay of Plenty, then I heard he went back to Perth. Havn't heard anything about him for a while tho
