it's very odd timing, i don't understand it, i would think wimbledon would still be abig priority but it's her choice, she's had a great career

I reckon she is the best player in her generation

Indeed. Before she decided to stuff up her career.

Surprised to see Henin retire. She's like 26 now...i thought maybe a little bit early to retire, but of course she must have reasons behind it. She is miles ahead on rankings points, so even though she retires, she may not be removed from the official rankings straight away. This will probably mean that Orgasm will just be #1 seed at Wimbledon.

She was a real fighter, and great for Belgian sport.
Good luck to her in the future.

I too think it is premature to retire but I can also see that retiring as a world #1 at the top of your game is better than eventually sliding down the rankings as you get older and then retiring.
