Going by what I have read in this thread it seems one of the biggest problems CW has is transparency in its financial dealings. In my experience as an owner of trotters and greyhounds over the years ,irregardless of the size of the operation ,I always recieved a detailed account for the month explaining costs incurred. CW could have done the same thing and posted it on its website in the members section monthly for the various clubs. This would have shown what we were paying for and probably helped them explain what they were spending our money on. As it stands now , we have a vague yearly finacial account which is VERY broad in its explanation. No wonder people are suspicious! With the 3 syndicates I would imagine at least 1.5 million has been invested and even though the individual outlay was relativley small , the bottom line is quite large. If any outside media do get involved I hope they are impartial because the racing game can be a very closed shop and the likes of people like us are being treated as outsiders with no need to know what is going on. Because of this I dont hold much hope of a positive outcome in our favour but at least this thread will bring the shoddyness of CW to other peoples attention! PS Never again with CW.

This is something i found on another forum talking about CW

What are they then? If it looks like a syndicate & smells like a syndicate, then ................................... This is not putting syndicators as a group
Reply: they are a club, insider, and are not goverened by the same rules and regulations as are AFS licence holders like myself, Ken King, Denise Martin, Lawton etc"
If this is the case it may explain a lot of things.

Going by this all syndicates already can go longer than their expected life. Not to mention the money that was recieved from EI.(CHAPS payments)Plus CW2 sold 2 horses! The money invested was for 3 years - any prizemoney was a bonus!!!
