i don't want to sound rude guys, but WTF did you expect when you handed over $1000 for a 1/1000000th share in horses hand picked by a trainer who doesn't rate in the top 20 metro trainers in sydney, and a retired cricketer?

You can't have seriously believed you would get the chance to race metro horses week in week out, or that you would have any chance whatsoever of seeing that money. The only real dissapointment i would have is getting f*ckall information from them, but really they have your cash now so why bend over backwards?

Don't kid yourselves into thinking you have any kind of power to do anything about your situation. Closely read the do*****ents you signed, i think you will find they have a water tight case to do pretty much whather the f*ck they like and all you can do is sit back and watch.

As for the performance of the horses, well Harrykays run yesterday really summed up the whole thing. Comes out and wins a trial hard held in the quickest time of the day 5 days ago, and couldn't finish off over 1100m after having the run of the race at canterbury yesterday. do yourselves a favour and write the money off as a bad debt and get on with life.

A few things come to mind-

1.If 680 people pay $1000 each ($680000) they have every right to question what is happening with the horses they own.(Apparently the whole Club Waugh syndicate was created to allow the battler to race horses)
2.Nobody expected to race horses in the city week in week out and I certainly realise how lucky we are to have a horse who can win in Sydney (Harrykay-Rosehill and Randwick)plus a second horse at the provincials(Magestic Gem at Gosford). As for Harrys perfomance yesterday we'll just call that horseracing and expect an improvement the next start.(they are not machines -even Nuclear Medicine has lost races!)
3.Club Waugh Number 3 Prospectus states "At the end of the three year period shareholders will vote to continue racing or sell the horses to liquidate the company with the assets being distributed to the shareholders."(key word "shareholders"WinkI think we have a little bit of power.
I think the majority of CW3 members are happy with their investment but are dissapointed with the lack of communiction
By the way thanks for your expert opinion on his performance yesterday-beaten first up against older horses(he is a 3 year old) I'm sure he will improve(his record stands up pretty well anyway)
Don't flame people who are passionate in their investment-no matter how small it is to you-Thankyou

hey bob harry has had 8 starts 3 wins a 2nd a 3rd and has $115890 in prizemoney, nuclear medicine has 13 starts 6 wins 2 nds 3 3rds for $114350 and ran 3rd at Port Macquarie 3 starts ago, yes our horses do have bad days dont they.

And it does not matter how big or how little the share, people have the right to voice thier grievances, just get over it never realy comes into it, we all know we have to fight tooth and nail for anything and everything these days and if that means only saving some poor old grandparent from putting thier money into cwr thats what i will do. Because on the open day after they had our money their was so many old people there that had put money in. These people can not remake this money unlike myself who can. Understanding goes along way to being liked and respected as a person but i am sure that you dont care anyways.

nuclear medicine ran third beaten a nose by nose, carrying 62kgs dip*****. He also came down the worst part of the track. The other 2 times he has lost this prep he has had to do all the work from bad barriers and just got pipped on the line. I would say a 3 length victory (going away from them in the last 100m) in his last start is enough for me to think he will win better races. Harrykay got away with a few "metro" races during/straight after EI when 3/4 of the metro horses were coming back from EI.

Harrykay will not win another metro race. BTW racing and sports has his prizemoney at $90,000 to.

I would love for Raulston and co to hold a shareholders meeting in Melbourne. Just something informal to clear the air and let him try and explain what the heck is going on

I have directed him to this site to read all the emails about disgruntled members and little battlers who are getting a raw deal. I hope we get some good news and outcomes from this.

For those in CWR3, i found this whilst surfn, this is what was is wrong with Majestic, am sure it was the sus ligament, i went through the club updates and could not find the 1 where they mentioned it, doesnt mean its not there tho, this lady gave this info to a guy on another forum, pity we dont get info like this!!!!!!!

As a general rule of thumb most suspensory injuries will require about 6 months to heal, however if your horse has reaggrevated a previous injury the timespan may differ slightly, and return to work is usually dictated by evidence of healing on ultrasound examination. Treatment and management of injuries also varies depending on exactly where (upper part of ligament or down lower in the branches) and what type of damage the horse has suffered.

There are basically 2 types of supensory strains. The first is a discrete loss of ligament type structure in a particular area, and is called a core lesion. The rolls royce treatment for this particular type of injury is to inject the core with stem cells or stem cell attracting products to get best degree of healing. This is usually combined with a rehab program and will result in a slightly quicker return to full work. Success rate is about 90%. Alternatively rest combined with icing in the initial stages will result in healing of the area, however as the area will be healed with fibrous tissue and not true ligament tissue the repaired area is always weaker and more prone to reinjury. Return to work in these cases can be as low as 65% in front legs, and can be as long as 12 months depending on the amount of ligament involved.

If the lesion is not discrete but a more diffuse tear the best option for treatment is shockwave therapy, which involves using a machine to pass high pressure sound waves through the area and basically 'shock' the tissue into healing better as it promotes stem cell migration. Therapy is usually in the form of 3 sessions 3 weeks apart followed by a rehab program. The success rate for that treatment is about 80-85%. Alternatively rest can just be used again, usually you are looking at the same success rate as described above.

Thanks for the informative information, it was great, as you say, wish the website explained things in detail so the members would understand why it takes so long about Magestic Gems injury but you summed it up beautifully. I take my cowgirl hat off to you Smile. I am affraid human relations and communication are not strong points of the CLUB WAUGH administration, and its like pulling teeth to get professional updates. For CW#2 members poor Bumpa didnt have a good day. Never mind there is always next time Smile.

Hi Aussiegal, Unfortunately, I think poor Bumpa has now run her last race for us. They have managed to absolutley ruin her like they did with The Fangsta in CWR1, what on earth are they going to say this time....So sad, as she really should have won some many more, and better races. I am so angry with this lot and just want it all to finish, but they cant even tell us that... How un professional is that. I dont think you will get an answer from your terrific efforts to the papers, as I think they would just pass us off, as they do consider us in their communications, as just the poor plebs, who actually OWN their Syndicates. I just hope no one ever joins their lot agin, but ...they probably will, at least they wont get any of us.

Buddy I missed watching the race on tv but I listened to 2KY and heard the race. Bumpa came about 7th in that race. Bumpa also deserved better as did The Fangsta, all neglected by Kim Waugh. I see she is NOW starting to get smaller sydnicates of 10 or so, up and running, and can see her efforts and energy I gather are more into the smaller syndicates and we are all on the back burner. Like you I am burning to verbally woop her hide letting down all the battlers and hard working people who thought this might have been a good idea and for Mr and Mrs Suburbia to have some horseys to call their own and race.
I dont think anyone realised how neglected they would feel with the whole sorry Syndicates from 1 - 3 are feeling. I hope we all get a conclusion to this sorry saga sooner than later.

Happy Punting Smile
