I don't care if I had a 1% I wouldn't take it like you guys do.
A good lesson though I guess.
Kim "no more" Waugh isn't even that great looking - although an ungrade on jnr's ex admittedly.

That made me laugh thinking about something i read a while back. Mark Waugh was standing at second slip, Adam Parore relatively new to cricket came to the crease played & missed the first ball. Mark Waugh- “Ohh, I remember you from a couple years ago in Australia. You were sh*t then, you’re fu*king useless now”. Parore- (Turning around) “Yeah, that’s me & when I was there you were going out with that old, ugly sl*t & now I hear you’ve married her. You dumb c*nt“.

I coudlnt afford 9 grand, would prob split it between 3-4 people if I decided to sign up. Might stick to Bryan Martin for the time being

You guys involved in CWR No 2 would have just received their farcical letter, which reads almost comically … you know, the one in which they suggest the middle of this year is the best time to sell Bumpa as her value will likely be at its highest … and then put together a syndicate to buy her back. Yep, that’s right. These geniuses are suggesting we sell a horse we already own at the peak of its value to ourselves. If anyone can explain to me why we would want to do that instead of just keeping her and racing her, then I’m all ears.
Why shouldn’t we just keep racing her until the broodmare sales in 2009 … since that is the recommendation if she wins prizemoney in the coming month and/or we do as suggested and sell her to ourselves at the sales. Surely, even with no more prizemoney coming in, the prizemoney earnt thus far as well a the leftover funds from the training fees budgeted for Scooter, King Armstrong and Kelendria should be enough to keep racing her until those broodmare sales. Unless those funds have been appropriated elsewhere, in which case I would have to ask how and why?
But the highlight of the letter is surely the information about Kelendria and the upcoming termination of our lease on her. As I always suspected was going to be the case when the lease arrangement was announced, the members of CWR No 2 have just paid for the training and education of someone else’s filly. She has never raced for us and, in all likelihood, was never ever going to.
They’ve even timed her current prep perfectly. CWR No. 2 have paid the training fees for this preparation right up until she’s about to actually get to the races, at which point, you guessed it, the lease terminates and she goes back to her real owners.
I would love Club Waugh Racing to give us some details on who these owners are and their relationship with the Kim Waugh stable and periphery …

Call a sports columnist, maybe Ray Thomas. Im sure a newpaper would be interested in an update of the dodgy goings on of CWR.

The more we talk about this the more it sounz like these cwr syndicates are just massive rorts designed to create ways that money can be made without actualy realy doing anything for the ones that are paying. I am in cwr 3, we have 4 horses all owned by the syndicate. We have had 14 starts since the syndicate began on the 1/05/2006. One horse is yet to start but has 2 trials a year apart, another hasnt raced for 11 months and we havnt been told how its treatment for an injury has progressed (suspensory ligament) harry hasnt raced since december when he was only going out for a short spell of a month, and the other hasnt raced since last august.

The only advantage I can see to taking Bumpa to the sales and buying her back is that she wouldn't necessarily then have to be trained by Mrs K Waugh.

Hi, Im also in club waugh No3 and am really amazed at the total disregard that they are showing us. Especially when you consider Harrykay would have to be the stables best horse.I feel sorry for those in cw2 and perhaps its Mark W showing his true character. I have also sent an email to try and find out the progress of Majestic Gem and Purfect dancer but do not expect any sort of reply.Maybe i should send a telegram!

Good luck with Harry. They absolutely crucified The Fangsta in CWR1, sold 2 horses for peanuts, CWR2 Only 1 to race Bumpa, took on Kalendria on lease, we have just paid for all her training etc., never to race, now they want us to buy Bumpa back..who we own, and maybe take on Kalendria... Hurry up and wind this shamozzle up. Never any "real" answers to the problems etc. It took 11 days to get a report on Through The Field, after his last race, then they said he would go for a spell, next thing - he is up for sale !!!

I am curious about the payments they would have recieved due to EI.(I think it was called CHAPS and was some form of compensation for not being able to train horses)Was this money added to any of the syndicates bottom line?I Would have thought this would have extended the life of CW1 & 2 because all training fees were already pre paid.

I was puzzled by the letter as well. Why do we have to sell what is ours and then buy back?
An interesting thing I have realised is Robert Roulston recieves all our emails and the office number is for his company, so does Mark Waugh actually have an interest in this or is he just the face of it??
Also, I lost the number, but does the members hotline still get updated?
