is 2.1 ghz good?
and 1 gb memory?
im not very smart when it comes to the details of a computer
thats what the cheapest macbook is and its $1500 without the student discount
i think the student discount is 10% but not too sure
EDIT: $1350 with the discount
ill get my sister to buy it so i can get the discount
my dad is paying for half of it as well so i only pay $675

Yeah mate, that's what I'm on and it's sweet. You can update your RAM as well which is what I'm doing soon. But it will run pretty smooth. Maybe. The new 3D engine may need a bit faster processor, like maybe 2.4GHz.

Hmm would you be willing to spend that much? It is a fair bit of money.
It shouldn't make too much difference it's just that you can't update the processor so...

I've only played FM08 which is 2D which runs fine. Even with a lot of players loaded and a few leagues loaded.
I think it won't make that much difference but try for yourself? Like go into a shop that sells them and play around, see if you notice a difference.

btw what happened to the rebate kevin rudd promised for students getting computers
wasnt there going to be a $750 rebate

Not too sure how you apply, maybe call up Kevin? Or if you don't have his number, maybe email a local MP? That's what my mate did.

Ok it was brought to my attention today that last night Apple released new Macbooks.
They are better now. Even the cheapest model will dominate FM09. So just go with the cheapest newest model.

i got a lenovo the other day, RRP 3,000
but i got it for 910 with my dads work discount
i dropped it and it didnt break (from 2 metres, when it was open)
and i got FM2008 about 1 week ago, it is awesome, though its so fcn hard to sign players, man city want 80 mil plus pennant and hobbbs for michael johnson, when he is valued at 8 mil
