Magoo is trying to call everyones bluff when he himself is struggling. He has no trades left and is trying to con everyone one else into thinking that he has them stored away ready for the final to try and intimidate them. He has rode his luck far enough this season and will crash and burn. He is playing the game and is trying to win it by psyching everyone else out Razz

Whereas myself on the otherhand am flying along superbly having 2 trades remaining with a bank akount of $534K to spend next week. I am a certainty to enter the top 1000 by seasons end Wink

Well this is interesting.

Rode my luck ? Crash and Burn ? Struggling ? Conning everyone ? Psyching out ?

Whilst i applaud the sledge it'd help if u even made finals to come out with that shyt lol

hmmmm...no trades left ? How sure are u ?

You willing to put a little wager on that ?

Mate if you had trades left then you should have made them this week... You are starting 3 rookies still after all!!!

But i would hardly call you crashing and burning - you have a very solid team.

And Bombers, sorry mate but no point having trades left and not making finals!

Maybe ..but then i'm quietly confident anyway and have got into the habit of being super stingey after all the injuries this yr. Those rookies have been pretty damn handy and it has gone 2100 for 4 or 5 straight weeks now. Why fix something that aint broken ?

Bombers doesnt think i have any left at all. Whats your read on it ?

p.s. McPhee has been a dog all season hasnt he.

Well i think you may have 1 left and are saving it for injuries. I'm hoping you regret keeping the trade up your sleave!!

Yeah McPhee has been average. I only picked him up about 6 weeks ago and he has been going allright but last night only 60!!

Bang on...not much $ to go with the trade.

Went to upgrade Valenti to Muphy and fell short by about 4K...then next stop TCloke and not quite enuff either. Then looked at Kosi ...aker...anyone..and then decided just not to bother coz Rioli has been getting 70-90 scores. Noone decent for Ibbotsen either with not much extra $.

With Pavlich a late withdrawal that could be IT. Regret city.

Had 2 left for last yrs GF in here and it made the difference...made the decison to make no decision.

Ahh well we will both cop 1 zero cause of Pav.

Id say Burgoyne's 130 has put you just ahead at this stage.

Looks like ANYONE for Valenti would have been the go. Go have a look at the trash for a fraction less than TCLoke though...noone.

That extra $4K of cash might be critical now coz of Pav out...would have had a solid reserve.

Spin that wheel.

Yeah Burgoyne had his regulation twice a yr seagull romp. Helps.

You might catch a break with those rumours about Joel Corey being sore and likely rested...Cotchin only got 55ish as backup.

How is the other Prelim final looking at the half way mark?

A quick rundown of ours as follows:

Host of duplicate players as can be expected at this end of the season. Both have Bartel as captain, both have Corey as VC. Other ''double-up'' players include Bock, Milburn, Mackie, Riewoldt, Buddy and zeroes from Pav. Of the remainder:

Backs
Shifty: Birchall, Goddard (+53)
Cheat: Fisher, Roughead, Taylor

Mids
Shifty: Hayes (+50)
Cheat: Kelly

Rucks
Shifty: (+52)
Cheat: Cox

Forwards
Shifty: (+5Cool

In a nutshell, I've go Hayes, Goddard, Birchall and 213 points vs Harry Taylor, Roughead, Fisher, Kelly and Cox. Hoping Cox has a quiet one.

Ours is tight at halftime.
Tman down a bit until the pies mauled my sorryarse mob tonight.
He's now up by 29pts after 11 players each
Both got Bartel captn to make all 4 teams the same captn.

Duplicates
Backs: Goddard, Birchall, Kennelly(69)
Mids: Stevens(134), Cross(92), Kornes(82), Bartel (c) [Bench: Cotchin (59)]
Rucks: Cox, Simmonds
Forwards: Riewoldt, Pavlich(dnp), JBrown (91), Franklin [no playing ressies]

Game:Tman/Magoo

Backs
McPhee (61) v Ibbotsen (56)
Bowden (96) v Purgoyne (130)
Milburn v Mackie
Urquhart v Bock

Mids
Swan (122) v Corey
Hayes v Palmer(86)

Forwards
Deledio (99) v BJohnson (93)
TCloke (109) v Richardson (90)
SJohnson v Rioli

Not much left with Tman 1053 v Magoo 1024.....29 pts lead to Tman at halftime (11 played each) might actually be a significant lead with so few differences.

Just trying to stir the pot a little Wink I wouldn't of had any idea how many trades you had left.....

Anyway, I scored 2039 this week including Matthew Pavlich getting me a big fat 0 next to his name with no emergencies after Jetta was out with a hip injury.

In hindsight, obviously you are right. But those weeks before the finals had started, I was still a strong chance to make the top 8 and the only way I actually had a chance of doing well iin the finals was to save my trades. Otherwise I would have just been one of those coaches that made up the numbers. But still, you have to be in it to win it I suppose and I wasn't in it. It was the narrow loss to you that stuffed me up....

2204 for me this week, not a bad time to get your best score for the year.
8 100's and 6 90's
