That little gun Palmer picked up 120 odd last week...and to think i was ready to "upgrade" him to Thompson awhile back but couldnt...kept getting a never ending procession of injuries down back and couldnt...same with Kennelly...everytime i was ready to upgrade him i'd lose another cpl of blokes. Milburn will likely be back this week. Looking less likely Cox will be rested so i might even spend the trade i allocated for him.

Hopefully Shifty will finish Guppy off so we dont get the "tainted" look to the GF the week after. We did ask if ppl cared or not and i'm pretty sure both u and Shifty were part of the crew that said "who cares"...so we're stuck with it now.

No coincidence the top 4 "points scored" teams are playing off. Its a very rough but at least useful guide to likely form at yrs end no matter what Shifty tells u lol. One or two of the teams in the top 8 had a great run of luck with HnA results and a cpl (eg SeeTheBombers) got screwed. Its a stoopid game.


As a side issue..after getting frozen out at the start all i could hope for was try to sneak into maybe the top 5000 by seasons end..felt like just forgetting about it this yr but its been at least fun trying to make up ground.

Here's what getting frozen out of rnd 1 then travelling at about top 500 pace for the rest of the season looks like in terms of rankings in case it happens to u next yr...took longer than i thought.

Next yr we oughta put a cutoff time on the friday to enter teams so none of the dumber ones like me can be locked out in the freeze.

I have a flip of the coin decision I think this week.

I have to trade David Hille, which leaves me with one trade left. I then have to trade either D. Thomas (can't believe I didn't pick Deledio over him at the start of the year) or Foley. Both seem like 50/50 chances this week. I do have emergency's playing in the mids, that score around 60-70, but which of the two is more likely to play?
Or should I just play it safe and try trade Thomas as I have no emergency's to cover him should he not come up.

Or third option, only make the Hille trade and keep my last trade hoping I make it through to the final and then use it.

Yeah, I don't make changes til Thursday night, but I think both players will be named and then may pull out later on.

Well i dunno then...i'm just about done with this season's frivolities.

We were an inch from having it right this season but "deadly" still snuck in...should be able to fix that for next yr and maybe get a 2nd league going.

Been a good competitive league tho...think about the details come late summer i suppose.
