He's playing this weekend? Looked pretty groggy when they took him off the field in the weekend. Can't see him scoring as many tries as Reddy but he does do the kicking for the Tigers. Tigers/Dogs should be a close one.
Have just made my swaps.
Glen Stewart ---> Mateo Turner ---> Reddy (frees up a lot of cash too - will be able to trade Chambers for someone decent next week as well as bring in someone else worth a bit more $$$).
Seems to be that Reddy is going to be a good pick up, I'll get him this round too. Gridlock wrote:Hopefully Folau will drop by 150k Nooo don't say that, I want to get rid of him because of the money I'm goign to lose, but Brett Stewart is probably going to drop even worse, so I need to get rid of him more so than Folau. I also took out Turner from Melb, he was worth 353k and had only scored 2, so he was preference to get rid of as well! My initial team hasn't really done it for me so far, pretty disapointed. I thought I had assembled a good looking squad, with players from good sides who play reguarly. I didn't have any Sharks players, any Newcastle players or any Tigers players. Turned out those are teams that have done well. Annoying in regards to money and getting off to a good start.

I'm going in with this:
Slater (traded for Brett Stewart for obvious reasons) Boyd Gasnier Bani Reddy Witt Prince Farah Buderus Withers Hoffman Sa O'Dwyer
Reserves:
M.Robertson Minichiello James Mcmarnus (gets blocked if spelt correctly) Halatau
13,500 dollars in the kitty...
Who to make my captain? Slater imo but anyone disagree?

So overpriced! Imagine if he was like under 150k, would be a great pick up. I'm still happy with the Boyd pick up though. MUFC #7 wrote:I'm going in with this:

See I could do that exact trade too, Stewart out - Slater in. But I still think I'm going to go with Reddy (I will have 5 Eels players getting me points this round). Only thing that could sway my mind is the abundance of Eels players I have, Slater would be a better choice maybe for balance in my squad.

Your obvious options are Slater and Bani. Both teams should win. Personally, I also have both in my team and I'm putting Bani as my captain. He's going to be a consistent try-scorer and has proven that so far. Slater bagged a hat-trick in the first round but hasn't featured on the scoreboard again. He's more of a risk, especially seeing as they're playing away to the Roosters while Manly are at home to the Warriors.

I'm gona go with Slater. Manly haven't got going and I think the Warriors might get something here. Craig Bellamy will have the lads fired up after last week's result and hopefully they can get it all working.

You're right, it was a very misleading statement. Just trying to get my point across so that's how I worded it. To be more straight up - I just believe that Bani is more likely to score tries this weekend than Slater is. Slater - 14, 0 Bani - 4, 4 Slater's average is obviously higher but the reality is that this isn't about averages. TAB Odds Manly win - $1.55 (and this is from a bias NZ betting agency) Bani to score a try - $1.80, to be first try scorer - $10.00 Melbourne win - $1.70 Slater to be first try scorer - $11.00 Relatively even on the tries but the TAB reckons Manly have much better chance of beating the Warriors than the Storm do of beating Easts. Put it this way - I would be very surprised if Bani doesn't cross the line this weekend.

i just hope that after making Slater my captain that Bani is on the opposite wing to Vatuvei, then hopefully the defence wil be better.

Hate to break it to you but it looks like Bani will be marked by Ah Van.

Anyone but Vatuvei. I have Michael Robertson so hopefully he can do something against Vatuvei. But not too much. I'm a Warriors fan lol

Finally my Captain gets me some points (Billy Slater)
Had Brett Stewart as Captain over the last 2 weeks and got rid of him as he is set to drop after not scoring any points so far this season. Brought in Billy as he is set to rise after his hat trick.
Good boy Billy, now I wanna see Gasnier, Bani, Robertson all cross the chalk in their games. Only big loss money-wise for me will be Ryan Hoffman who I was expecting to score a fair few. Never mind , gives me a chance to make a bit of money off trading him and then get rid of James Mcmarnus, hopefully for Folau if he drops a crazy amount.

It's opened up now.
I got 62 for the round, a 42 point win in my league which puts me 375th overall which I'm happy with... I can build on that.
interesting to see the price changes for the players. Darius Boyd has risen $135k to be worth over $300k now.

I'm happy with 60.
Anyone got insight into bargain pick-ups?
Hayne is bargain at 243k, will go up next round.

My 4 trades in of Myles, Price, Boyd and Reddy all made me some money, but overall I have lost money with my team so far. Disappointing.
Who are the bargain pick ups of this round?
Is Jordan Atkins going to raise another 50k again after going up 105k? His current price is 352k and being so high will massively influence his next raise, may not be so much again, but over 50k maybe?......
Who else thinks Nathan Friend looks good at 112k and he's just gone up 37k....Titans at home to Raiders too...maybe some money+points to be made with him.......
Maybe Michael Bani? Bani has just gone up 66k and is only 191k at the moment. Sea Eagles are playing Rabbitohs at Brookvale so maybe some points+money there....
Thoughts?

Thoughts? Bani looks the best bet there. I've had him since round one, and i think he's scored a try every game! 191k is bargain, will continue to rise surely.

i managed 52 this week. big moneymaking round - had boyd, reddy, gasnier, robertson, slater - all going up in value. plus more. big disappoinment - ryan hoffman, went down 60k. getting rid of him this week. michael robertson reserve helped but i still lost my league game. currently 1451 overall.
