g'day folks,
sureley the competition isnt too far away from starting......

what do u guys want ya teams to look like for season 2008?
which players could be bargains?
which players/clubs are you gonna stay away from this season?
which players will be too expensive?

I want my team to look something like this following last years sportal player rules.

Fullback: Bowen (Cowboys) bench: Stewart (Sea Eagles)
Centres/Wings: Gasnier (Dragons)/Folau (Storm)/Monaghan (Raiders)/Inu (Eels) bench: Hicks (Sea Eagles)/Covell (Sharks)/Jennings (Panthers)
Five-Eighths: Witt (Warriors) bench: Lockyer (Broncos)
Halfbacks: Cronk (Storm) bench: Wing (Rabbitohs)
Second Rowers: Fitzgibon (Roosters)/Hoffman (Storm)/Luck or Luiaki (Warriors) bench: Kidwell (Rabbitohs)/O'Meley (Roosters)/Creagh (Dragons)
Front Rowers: Price (Warriors)/Smith (Storm)/Farah (Tigers) bench: Civonoceva (Panthers)/Cayeless (Eels)/Kite (Sea Eagles)

Smith/Fitzgibon/Covell possible kickers
Bowen/Folau etc possible captains (try scorers)

I probably wont be able to make that team based on salary cap reasons.....

Just a question, has sportal and virtual severed links now?? If so i'll stick with virtual!
Will be interesting to see player pricings this season! I would imagine Folau,Inu,Witt will be through the roof!
Will really miss Matt King and Chris Hicks for point scoring this season!!!Crying or Very sad
Advice would be, load up on them Storm players!!!Very Happy

Damn hard to pick a super team as all the good ones cost a fortune.
Had to try and pick the guys who I thought would rise in value.

So with picking teams I think there's a few things we should be thinking about.

1 - Who are the cheap players who are going to rise in value?
2 - Who are the expensive players that are "must haves"
3 - Who are the teams who are going to be winning in the first few rounds.

I'm taking a punt on Aiden Kirk. Young kiwi that is going to fill Wade McKinnon's boots at the Warriors. He's never going to be as good as McKinnon but I think he's a good prospect and bound to rise from the $75k he costs at the moment.

Still, waiting for the sides to come out before I finalise anything in my team =P

Why dont you guys play in the Courier Mail and The Daily Telegraph fantasy leagues. At least you can try and win a bit of cash.

Not bad at all, I'm not sure how much time PJ Marsh is going to get on the field, hopefully a decent amount... could be a bargain.
Hunt is a good pick at Fullback.

No Folau though... thought he would be an automatic pick for most people... I haven't got him either but have a few other Melbourne backs.

Your forward pack is very solid, lots of kicking options and lots of try-scoring options.
Luke Rooney is a steal, couldn't pass him up msself
