Gibbs and Murphy are going to struggle for games if Carltons midfield get up and running. Then their VFL team is going to be a dominant force with 2 #1 draft picks running around for them.
Don't worry about Murphy, he won't be dropped all year. True about Gibbs, but they'll prob just chuck him in the Backline lol.

I'll take your word on it seeing as your the Carlton supporter. But Gibbs doesn't seem successful at back pocket. He was listed there just about every game in 07 but kind of played like a half-back/wingman. He got shat on a couple of times

I know, Gibbs wants to play Midfield. But with all the midfielders now, he can't squeeze in. I'm sure he will play there somewhat during the year.

not sold on stevens last year he was absolutely flying. there will probly be better players still around his price tag. i think its just excited blues fans talkin him up.
still scpetical on murphy. if judd not 100% and stevens not hes usual best of former years clubs could still tag him. why change a tactic that works??
fev too unpredictable incosistent last couple years to be a solid buy (maybe trade for him if consistent, but not at start)
carlton players im lookin at are kruezer, hartlett, hampson, waite, hadley

carlton players im lookin at are kruezer, hartlett, hampson, waite, hadley i see what u mean about clubs maybe tagging murphey but if Judd and Stevens are on the park there is no way in the world a coach in his right mind would let these 2 run around and do what they like. Judd 80% is still as damaging as most players in the comp so he still demands attention if he plays in the middle. Stevens as well does not go and get the hard footy but the in and under types dish it out to him and he will cut teams to pieces if they dont respect him... pretty safe bet that murphey either will not get tagged or at worst will have about half the attention he got last yr with clubs putting their best stopper on him

Shaw- Same as Lockyer, will be too expensive for my liking. Wood- If cheap enough may be good for a 2nd ruckman. Thoughts?

Brown - Malthouse says he will play games this year. Maybe on Bench Anthony - Same as Brown. Josh Fraser - Maybe as a 2nd ruckman to Cox or Lade. Probably to expensive Dane Swan- good ballwinner, expensive but very consistent. Possible Selection Prestigiacomo- I always have Presti in my team as an emg. He plays just about every game and cost's bugger all. Exactly what you want from an emg. Most people won't agree though. Roughies: Goldsack, *****, Reid, Rusling, Richards

Brown - Perhaps, but he's midfield yeh? Too many good midfielders. Swan- Always forget him, but again, there are too many good midfielders. And yeh I don't agree on presti, soz. My back ups are always young and always players who will make me money. Forgot about Rusling though, he could be ok. Thanks for the thoughts, it's practically you and me on this topic atm

alrite on to collingwood!!! i predict pendlebury will be collingwoods leading supercoach player and will improve from last year. he ll get clearences, good disposal, can take a overhead grab and kick goals. hes very fit and will get more time in the middle...he will be a star!
didak should be strongly considered. last year he was unfit and didnt hav a pre season. should get back to AA form from 05, and would play more time thru the middle seein as pies got medhurst, thomas davis to take small forward role. remember his game against west coast in the final
heath shaw was one of the best defenders until hurt (he was carryin an injury thru the 2nd half of last season). strongly consider. will get more expensive.
anthony or brown should be an emergency for defenders.
swan, lockyear burns proven ball winners
fully fit fraser 2nd best ruck scorer behind cox. mite be a cheaper alternative to cox but probly too expensive to fit in both
ruslings price would be interesting..only played twice in regular season including a great game against swans...worth while if under 200k
thomas will have a gary ablett jnr like breakout year...either this year or next
roughies: clarke, egan, wood, goldsack wellingham, r.shaw (1st completed preseason ever)

Stanton dominated in our interclub match today from what Ive heard... Dempsey is one I'm looking at Lay***** is another, First time he's done a pre-season in his career Hocking is another
