Is that what you were trying to say.

I know that it will be hard, and i know that the media will not pick it up really quickly, but i do know that the AFL is focussing on areas with little media, remote indigenous areas. They are building from the ground up.

Do you really think remote indigenous communities have a big influence on society?
And then what’s to say non indigenous people will take to the game?

You do realise that 80% of the population of Sth Africa is black? And another 10% is coloured?
And that of the 10% white population, most are Afrikaaners and possibly consider themselves "indigenous"?

Thats the best place to start. And then when a solid base is set up in the regional areas, they can then start moving onto the non-indigenous people.
There is nothing to say that they will take to the game, but if they are raring for reconciliation between the two groups they will give it a go.

The indigenous communities in South Africa now run the country so the answer is resoundingly ...yes. You know I am really struggling to understand what it is you are so vehemently arguing against here. Is it that you don't like the facts? Why? What is it to you anyway?

I actually dont mind people who dislike football talking about how it will struggle in South Africa and other countries, as it gives us ideas of how we can improve the strategy.

I don't either. I'm just curious as to what the motivation is.

The problem is money. The government is not going to fund the growth forever. Infect a bet you there funding it now because it such a cheap alternative for them. Without money that come mainly from the central business district how to you build a strong foundation and keep people interested in the sport.

Do you really think people at the AFL visit this forum to assemble new ideas on how to expand the game?

Maybe you can explain how that is an issue for you. I really don't get why it upsets you so much that some people happen to be happy that AFL is going well in South Africa. Does it somehow threaten you or something? I don't get it.

So explain what your problem is then. Like I said I can't see why you'd get so worked up about the fact that people have observed that AFL is growing in South Africa.

I never said I had a problem with that but such a statement flies in the face the facts.
