Hever wrote:Wow you guys are idiots. I've tried to make the beep on level 20 sprinting my fastest and was fresh before I started. You can't make it. It's like every 3 seconds. It goes on a ratio and at level 20 or so it's impossible. So Mundine is full of it ...lol I read an article and he does get to 21 ?

First time I did a beep test the whole class got there and back, some there and half way back. Talk about a totally screwed up beep test, lots of cheating and not a hell of a lot of room trying to get back when others didn't make it on time.My personal best was a 13.2, i think you need like a 8-10 to have a chance at a lookin in the army. Simon Black of the Brisbane Lions has the club record of 15.11 (from 2005) Young potential star Nicholas Condylis, moved from Australia to play for Panathinaikos club in Greece two years ago at age 15. He was recorded a 17.1 in the beep test, which puts him up there with the international standard. (David Beckham has reputedly completed the test, which seems like a bit of hype. Another source I found said he has reached level 16, which seems more believable. Graham Bashop, All Black scrum half did a level 19 in the early 90's. I watched this dude and in my rules at school is cheating , we had to wait for the bell before leaving. He's like a metre or 2 ahead of the bell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noYZLLe9o9s&feature=related

Michael Jordan is the only man ever to have clocked the Beep Test. Was still running after the Level 20 MAX. For AFL the highest i've ever heard was former Geelong and Sydeny player David Sprigs. I think he got around 17 to 17.5.
My PB is 14.4.

I have done a couple but an interesting one i did was at a cricket camp where me and my opening batting partner had our hands tied together. Did my PB of 10.9 that day as you don't want to let your partner down so u keep goin, seemed to give me more desire/motivation. Havent done on in ages. probably for about 6 or so years.

beep test is overated is really only how fast u can sprint and for how long
im terrible at the beep test yet im when im feeling ok one of the fittest in my school (btw im in a tennis program)
u see the really fast sprinters really die down in the last set of a tough match and im quite fit which i haev to be cause im cause small and thin
if u do well like over 11 then ur fit but i only managed a nine my record lol (i dont have very good sprint speed which is odd cause around the court im quick)
yet im known for going all day in a tennis match
