Yes, I like most of the older breed (or those purveying the old-school vibe today) of hip-hop.
Fave artists include A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, De La Soul, Brand Nubian, Mos Def and Pharoahe Monch.
Great selection of artists mate.

All probably in my Top 10 of all time. What sort of Kiwi music are you into? I got on the dub bandwagon about 5 years ago before it started getting way too thrashed. Was into Trinity Roots and Fat Freddy's Drop before they were commercially successful. I'm finding a lot of the stuff from The Black Seeds and Kora a bit stale now though.

Any idea on the price of Soundwave tickets anyone? Im thinking around $100 but not too sure. Also heard pre-released tickets would be about 20 bucks cheaper....

Minus The Bear = a highly recommended SW act to check out.
Only confirmed sideshow I've heard about is Goldfinger + 3 guests (one of whom no doubt will be Less Than Jake). If you're wanting sideshows, buy tickets and make this baby sell out!

Yeah mate the NZ roots scene has become really formulaic and stale, however I'm kind of feeling Tikii Taanes flow and I've always been a fan of Mareko's flow and P moneys producing.
