just a draft team knocked up this morn,
friedel (given) agger, terry, sagna, (chimbonda, king) fabby, lamp, bentley, petrov, (duff) keane, anelka, d.bent
not sure if king will play but at 3.whatever its hard to pass him up, i reckon sunderland will be a much improved defensive outfit this year so im thinking chimp might make me a bit o coin.
any spuds supporters know if bent will play? he seemed to be knocking them in at will pre season.
any thoughts would be great!!

You have a solid squad, you have spotted some potential bargains and your midfield is quite strong. I would suggest that the area to consider is formation. Perhaps consider which areas of the pitch give maximum return. If you think from your *****ysis that it will be strikers this year, all well and good. I just think it is worth some further consideration. Cheers

fair point. i only really lined up 343 as im not sure if king will play and im not sure about chimbonda in general. any sugegstions to upgrade chimbonda with 300k in the kitty? keane is my other doubtful but torres showed in euro he can tee them up as easily as he can tap them in so i figure he could be good for a few. thanks for the feedback tho, much appreciated. i dont suppose we can get a peek at your squad? or is that asking a bit much.

I have had a look at the complex enhanced scoring system and come up with this provisional side which I like a lot, baring injury and missed selection this could be a go side.
Keen to hear your opinion Snake Eyes as I believe you were going to process the system more closely and access a strategy.. Just would like to know if you think I am on the right track...
CECH-NEIMI
AGGER-VIDIC-LESCOTT-CLICHY-WILSHERE(ars)
DECO-DENILSON-LAMPARD-GIGGS-ALONSO
VELA-TEVEZ-HAREWOOD
Cheers VVV

Cheers VVV To know if you are on the right track, I really need to know the reasoning behind your choices!! Otherwise I have to guess why you picked a player using my interpretation of your strategy which could be completely different to your actual strategy. Anyways, just having a quick gander there are a few things that stand out. You have selected a 16 y.o player who has never played a premiership game and only a handful of reserves games. He will be lucky to get a start in the Carling Cup, and might get one or two start on the 7 man bench. BUT he is Jack *****king Wilshere afterall (Will be a gun in a few years) Vela, another young gun. Won't deliver enough points for ya because unless RVP or Ade are injured he won't get enough time. (He's probably still behind Bendtner in the pecking order, and when Eduardo comes back he is further down. CC games for him) Denilson if he starts will be playing more of a DM or support role to Fabregas in the middle of the park, not the greatest for fantasy points.. Harewood, hmmmm Harewood Vidic, Giggs and Tevez all miss GW3 and apart from Newcastle at OT have hard first fixtures. Me thinks you better do a bit more research there VVV Good Luck Cheers

Me thinks you better do a bit more research there VVV Good Luck Cheers Thank you for your comment Snakey, After a fairly quick perusal of the scoring system I came to the assumption that, it may be a Big 4 midfield orientated. Less money on forwards, especially early as least amount of selections(well keepers) so least risk. Scoring being cleansheets, hatrick goals and low cards/fouls.,long game time.... So I looked at last seasons totals for Goals Conceded,Clean sheats,Yellows, Reds, Fouls, Goals scored...Unfortunately I couldn't find stats for which positions the cards came from exactly, so where to stock low carding teams like last season's lowest Everton 40y,3r and Liv. 46y,1r, Man Utd. 51y,2r......Chelsea were ordinary but have easy start to season so still consider backs. OF COURSE I realise Man.U. have a rnd 3 bye....As much as I hate them they had the least conceded goals, most goals scored, equal Clean sheets leader, and 3rd best disciplinary record. So I figured they will rate highly again. With 50 trades and a avg. of approx. 1.5 trades a rnd, I figured I could have a couple Man.u. early and trade one/two in rnd 3 or leading up to bench one/two, change formation, and I am aware of the 2 in each positon must play so at least 2 strikers, hence knowing I would have to do something with strikers but need more later info... THIS is why I didn't pick MAN.U. Keeper as didn't want to realy on Niemi even though I haven't looked into who they play rnd 3. I will however put more thought into the Man.u. situtation. I no doubt was thinking I would be making about 2-4 changes on last day, and Yes I am aware of the Wilshere situtation, I just have been watching him and Vela preseason and VERY impressed, thank you for the guidance there..though I knew I was pretty much going to have to change a couple and I thought they would be finding a CHEAP,STARTER in backs(Dossena maybe, who ever the surprise packet is) to trade in and upgrade Wilshere... I also thought I would do some sort of Change up with DECO and DENILSON looking for a bargin to save some money so I could upgrade my Forward line..Maybe Petrov he has looked real good lately or Arteta...haven't thought a lot there yet... Harewood...LOL... I am a Villa fan...Sentimental selection Liv,Man.u, players seem to have a nice balance between goals and cards, with Arsenal letting in a lot and Chelsea's Bad card record. I hope this has helped your evaluation , I look forward to hearing further comments. Regards VVV P.s. If anyone else would like to give advice or just have a free shot at my thinking...Go for it, It's ALL GOOD.....

Ok.I don't understand why the WTF, but Explinations below. I explained my Harewood selection... Niemi is a cheap benchie who won't see the light of day and will be upgraded later when make some cash out of bargin trades... I mentioned above there will be change ups envolving both Denilson and Vela if you read above! I don't see the MAJOR problem with denilson, I will have a look at his disicplinary record, but he lots assurred of a start.IMO. I am looking at a 4-4-2 so most of the players you mentioned won't see the field as the bench doesn't score... Regards VVV

My provisional line-up:
GK: Almunia (Given) DF: Vidic, Terry, Dossena, Clichy (Bale) MF: Fabregas, Nani, Hamann, Bentley (Duff) FW: Elmander, Ashton (D Bent)
A reasonable amount of dosh remains in the kitty.

It was to mush money to waste on Tevez, I thought he would be focal point but rooney maybe fit now and ronaldo later. so changes there... Axed Harewood Changed Denilson to Petrov. Can you reccomend A cheap striker and Keeper please with 10m to spend(thank you) CECH-??? AGGER-FERRIERA-LESCOTT-VIDIC-Meite(bench???) DECO-PETROV-GIGGS-LAMPARD-ALONSO KEANE-YAKUBU-????? Regards Veni Vidi Vici P.s. in rnd 3 I am looking at playing a 3-5-2 possibly with moving Vidic to bench and trading Giggs..

I usually try to have just the one back per club. Too risky to have 2 or 3 from one team, especially if the clean sheet gets soiled so to speak.
