Its 2 million *****head, get your facts right
We bought 2 hotels for $14.5 million a couple years back and they didnt work out, so we just sold them for $10 million
And with our $2.5 million operating profit, the loss in our books is around $2 million
All our debts are gone, and it is a small loss considering the club is worth $55 million

The club is aiming to be debt-free, and although some hotel industry sources regard this as a "fire sale", Eddie seems pretty convinced we are headed for tougher economic times. A well-timed announcement, with the media focus being on the Olympics and "other matters", it shouldn't hurt the club too much. Scan the papers today for other bad financial news - it will be there too, but neatly hidden behind the Olympics razzamatazz.

The AFL will just bail the Pies out like they have done with every other struggling Melbourne based club. Us huge money spinners in the interstate clubs will have to foot the bill, again......

But I didnt say anything Os, why, because it is wrong. Want a couple of thoughts, try, wasnt Eugene Arocca responsible for commercial operations - he's gone & so are the pubs. The Hawks at Caroline Springs are going down this path, is it the moneyspinner we are lead to believe? Melbourne have lots of pokies, but dont know how to turn a profit.
