The interview is so much longer than I expected.
He must have made some easy $$$$ for this 30 mins work.

Any idea how much?

hahahaha sonny bill is possibly the biggest hypocrit and straight out liar i have ever met. I don't care about anything he said except one statement..

"the don't care about me"...

they don't care about a player that even though he was injured for countless number of games, took ages to recover, and eventually completely ditched them.... they gave him a contract when he had pretty much only been around for a handful of games every year. they made him the highest paid player in the game when he straight out didn't deserve it.

if that ain't care then im queen elizabeth

and meanwhile how much were the doggys making through sponsorship out of him? bottom line is the club wouldn't have kept him if he wasn't worth it, your kidding yourself if you think otherwise. All players are treated like cattle, thats a fact, its the same in Union, Soccer, AFL. The franchises aren't charities!

Doesn't mean what he did was right, and he failed to really tell us why he turned his back on a contract rather than dealing with it appropriately. But like i said, If he wasn't worth it canterbury would never have paid him close to what they did.

The interview only confirmed that he is delusional.
If you keep telling yourself things over and over again, you end up believing them.
As the panel said, he talked for so long about so many things and in the end he still couldn't give a straight answer about why he left like a thief in the night.

I liked the part where he said:

"I told Khoder to call the club and organise a meeting because those comments from Folkesy hurt me..."

The same meeting that he didn't have the decency to turn up to!

I am quite upset they didn't show the end of the interview where Weidler got on his knees in front of SBW for some "fellatio"....

They paid him 1.45mil for the first 15mins, with the option of a second 15mins for 1.45mil.
Total 3.9mil for 2 sets of 15mins.

I think this kid just wants out ae. He will have forgotten bout the NRL in no time.

theres no hidden reason , the club didn't under pay him .... or not pay him of any of that rubbish
he tought he was gunna get a mill a year
he's apparently getting half that ... or about the same as he was getting at the dogs , egg all over his face but he has to now keep to the line that he wants to be an all black n all that cr@p
it was a money grab
but he has sold his soul & his has no cred & no integrity... & whilst there is very little of that left in modern sport , it still exsists.

you put this show pony up against a guy Like say... Steve Menzies for respect ... one is on a different planet.

I bet $8,000. The same amount of money his former team mate Fred Briggs earns in a year (working as a carpenter during the day, because not everyone can afford a $1,300,00 worth house for playing a couple of games per year).

Well done, $BW, great sign of respect! You are really inspiring kids with what you have done!
