I hope he wins, he's been the best player over the 3 rounds by a fair distance.
Its been classic Norman shot making, its easy to forget what a great player he was, and clearly still is. Some of his touch was unreal and his holing out was of the nerveless type required to win majors. He deserves it at this stage.
Only Tiger has been #1 for longer than Norman - nuff said.

well i said over +2 would win this and so far i am spot on but my other tips are no good.
What about the great white. true sporting legend and would be obe of the greatest performances in sporting history

They give every moment of their lives to golf, they practice, practice, practice and play tournament after tournament yet here's a 53 year old who plays less than half the spectators watching do and he is (or at least was) leading the world's most prestigious tournament. No wonder Tiger kills everyone else, they're sh1thouse!

I've just been waiting for him to step up to Tiger's level just like he said he would. Golf is a game of inches and everyone in the field would have had rounds that were riddled with near misses. If you want to talk near misses, don't forget that Els would have one major less to his name if Elkington had holed that straightaway 6 footer in the 2002 British!

The Aussies were generally pathetic in this Open (aside from Norman I guess), as they are in most majors. It's about time people stopped making excuses for them and started asking questions as to why they continually crumble under pressure.

Allenby finished in the top 10, which is fairly forgotten given norman's run. Do you call that pathetic? We've had a decent year in the majors so far. The masters was terrible but there were a few in contention at the us open and then norman here at the open. Hopefully something will happen at the us pga in a few weeks time
