Now this isnt a wind up, but a serious question... Why do you guys watch this??? IMO, its over dramatised and there is VERY little contact involved. I'm not denying that its gotta be tough to throw yourself around the ring but at the end of the day I see it as a Drama for American rednecks... again IMO...
I used to watch it when I was 10-12 and grew up with the likes of Stone Cold, The Rock, Sting, Kevin Nash, etc and I guess as a 10 year old it was great, but after 12/13 I realised how fake it all was and moved on... Just wondering what the attraction is for grown adults or even teenagers today??
Again - let me stress that i'm not trolling or trying to wind you guys up, just asking for your opinion...

Some like days of thier lives some like WWE. simple as that.
I like to watch them throw each other around and some of the stupid ***** they do. i find it quite entertaining. Yeah it may be "fake" but so what, so is horse racing, and some boxing. Ive always grown up with WWE/WWF so i guess its just what i am used to.

It's quality entertainment if you overlook the fact that it's fake it becomes quite entertaining.

A majority of TV shows are fake, as is Wrestling. Its just a form of entertainment and I understand how people can get into and watch it.
Just like any TV shows there is drama, voilence, characters, and even comedy.

I find it entertaining. Many people will say that MMA is more entertaining because it's real, but I think the fake storylines and rehearsed stuff, in and out of the ring, adds to the entertainment of WWE.

Vince McMahon put it best when he said this (not exactly these words but you get the point):
"People always say to me wrestling is fake. (Looking confused) Does anyone ever say Stallone's movies are fake? Or that Arnie's movies are fake? It's ENTERTAINMENT. It's not meant to be real. It's a show for people to come out and watch and have some fun"
Enough said.

I see what you are saying... but when you see how much some fans get into it - so much so that you would fear for your life if you told people it was fake outside outside the arena...
I find the whole thing "too fake"... if I want to be entertained I watch sport or a movie... If I wanted to watch a fight, I'd watch muay thai boxing... If I want a drama, I watch a movie... It just seems that they try to make it a bit of everything but fail at being convincing at anything...

no less than Star War fans or Star Trek fans would be if you tried to 'enlighten' them in the same manner.

Yeah that's fine, wrestling, just like most things, isn't for everyone. You prefer to find your entertainment elsewhere, others including myself (only from time to time) find it in wrestling. I agree that I prefer other sports, but I'm not a fan of the real violent stuff like MMA etc..
